AGREED
I don't blame you one bit for modifying your itinerary due to a little thing like Earthquakes!! Too many other (safe) places to visit. Enjoy The Journey.

Great First Day
Glad you’re safe in Pensacola. Beaumont’s one of our favorite stops. We enjoy eating at Pappadeaux. Great Greek salad and Cajun food. Maybe you could get take out. Hope you miss the rain tomorrow!

The Big One!
I do not wish to have you on the PCH if/when the big quake comes. My hope is that all the liberals get cast into the sea.....you would not find a match there!

Good grief. First comment and I blew it. Sorry. Didn’t write a title.

Happy to hear the storm has been down graded and won’t become a hurricane. We will be leaving on Mon. For the Florida panhandle for a short time and hoping not to have bad weather and flooding on the drive. Safe travel. Keep us posted!

Partial Eclipse
I was wondering if you would be in a good spot to see the Eclipse. At least it was dark enough so lights went on. We got a partial look and it was the excitement of our day. Never got dark, no change in our light at all. A very memorable event as you get closer to home.

Heading home
Have forgotten to ask if you saw any fresh corn on the cob. We did get some here two weeks ago direct from Iowa and the best ever. Fun reading where you drove today, as usual, but how close you are getting to home. The wall to ptotect flooding of Girardeau was interesting to read about. Not all river towns have done this, if any others. Enjoyed photos. I keep thinking about all the blogs you have written with so many glorious memories over the years. Am sure your own bed will be welcomed joyfully.

Lots of driving!
Memories again for me. Beautiful pics. Enjoyed Moving Day #2. But we also had a lot of driving today, well, seven hours round trip, but not close to your scenic views. Just something we had to do. And I am having hard time staying awake. So again, thanks for your journey of today and will check in tomorrow.

Your own bed
You have had some unique experiences on this trip & it looks like you will be home before us. We don't arrive until 7PM on Saturday, Aug 26.....although our body time will be much later. See you soon; I have saved a bottle of white Bordeaux from our tasting for you & Steve. Don't know what we will serve with it, but we may not care.

Another adventure postponed until next year.
Good evening to my adventurous friends. And found you almost trying another adventuresome moment - almost buying some interesting items you never had before. Almost! Maybe next year. We have friends/neighbors in Solivita who live in Kelowna six months. Not sure if that is anywhere near you. Hope you have a good day tomorrow.

Haze
My first comment is I agree totally about no sunshine! I could never live there. But I always enjoyed Pikes Market. If there are huge crowds now, I may change my thoughts of taking another train trip out there. Another adventurous day for sure. Look forward to Mondays travel.

Don and I and our friends chartered a boat out of a little town as far north as you go in Washington. For one week we toured the San Juan Islands and got to see several harbors similar to Gigs. We had wonderful weather that week as well as the few days we spent in Seattle. We were very lucky.

Olympic National Forest -- almost primeval
We loved touring the rain forest. Did you see the 4 Patriots? 4 huge Sequoia trees that may be up to 2000 years old. We hiked in the forest; I swear a dinosaur could have come around the corner & it would fit in. We also got lost and Nancy thought we were doomed. Happy memories; thanks for bringing them back.

Always have loved Seattle.
Forgot I couldn't read in the car this afternoon, no internet. So just had my daily dose of your travels. You mentioned Port Angeles. I have a memory of taking a ferry to Port Angeles in thick fog when our kids were very young so it's been along time but what an experience. We never did see where we were going til we almost docked. I think mothers are to be strong and unafraid with their children. Let me tell you I was petrified. I have always been afraid of fog. Sorry to defer from your adventures of the day. Wonderful pics and loved to see that crazy beach. And a late happy birthday to Steve. Good night.

History lesson
What a wonderful history lesson this time around. Had no idea about the beauty you found yesterday. Your pictures are just beautiful and tell a story themselves.

Cool Pictures
Very cool photos! Idaho is the only state in that part of the USA that I've never been to. I'm glad that the three of you are enjoying your trip.

Chilly and beautiful.
Your morning sounded like weather here BUT we haven't been down to 39, thank goodness. Have never traveled to Idaho so anxious to read about your sightseeing. Your day was such fun to read about and as always, your blog makes me feel as tho I am in your car with you.
