Winter Park
We love Winter Park. Have a timeshare there & used to go 4th of July week. Take the winding road to Estes Park. Cute little town, interesting places the eat and shop. The drive is just lovely. A very good day trip.

Touching your heart
We have not visited this site in Oklahoma City and we should put it on our list. It can be difficult and emotionally challenging to visit places like that. Our first trip to Normandy found Ken & I Harold & Nancy standing on Omaha Beach, hugging each other & crying. It seemed the ground itself made us feel the tremendous effort of the Allies to save France.

Homesick.....
Your description of the farmlands of the Midwest almost makes me homesick to visit again. Sounds like you are having a wonderful time & finding the sights you were seeking. Missed you at Wine Club last night; I saved a very special White Burgundy to share when you get back.

Beautiful farmland
So close and yet so far! Glad you had a peek at Minnesota. Our oldest granddaughter went to Winona State this last year. Lovely small town life. And farms everywhere. You wrote about everything so beautifully. I was ready to send a wave your way and then realized you are already in Iowa tonight. Safe travels tomorrow.

Doggy passport
Well, we always learn something new! I had no idea dogs needed a passport in and out of Canada. Yes, I assumed proper papers were necessary, but does it really look like we human passports? Also, never knew Super 8 was so small. But if there is a bed and its clean, it works in a pinch. Til next time, good nite.

Brings back memories of spending time hiking and touring in those parts of Maine that you drove through. Have a lot of fun. I've never been to that part of Canada and regret that, since I lived near Augusta 17 years.

Wow! I also, after six months in Florida, I am very happy to come back home. Is the temperature comfortable in Florida now? Not too hot? Last year, in October and even November it was very hot in Hallandale Beach. This year I'll be there fr
om mid-October to early January because I leave for Italy to start my world cruise. I will return home at the end of April.When will the next trip for you two? See you in October perhaps ...
