Glad you are home safely and had a good trip. I am already missing my morning fix of travel and scenery before work. It definitely made every day seem like a mini trip before work. Thanks for all the effort you put in and to Steve for dr
iving the tour!

Glad you enjoyed it. I enjoyed writing it.

Jackie - I am glad that the three of you had a good time and are home, safe and sound. I enjoyed following your journey, even though I was behind much of the time by a few days. You saw some places I would love to see. Art

I am glad you are home safe and sound. I enjoyed the pictures and the wonderful description of your trip without having to do any of the driving. You need to add Hawaii to your list. I lived there for three years and it is a beautiful pl
ace to see. Welcome home!!

I've only been in the Smokies once but need to go back and try some backpacking. You and Steve wanna join me? ;^) I can hardly believe how big Danielle is now! Have a fun and relaxing visit.

Cool! I hope to get to Petosky on one of my trips to Michigan. I also hope to get to the U-P sometime, but maybe not until I retire. I always run out of time on my visits up that way.
27th June 2013

Hi again, I'm so happy you were able to see MI. Ironically we will be in Petosky this Sat. Rented a large cottage on Crooked Lake near Petosky, all the kids are coming. The Traverse City Cherry Festival starts on the 29th. Thank you ag

OMG That is incredible. Too bad we missed you, and by only a few days. Enjoy your time with the family. The temperatures are very pleasant up there right now.

Now you are back in states I've been to. When I was 20, I hitched through Wisconsin and Minnesota, both a far cry from my naive Philly. I got as far north as Grand Portage on the Ontario border.

Now our are back in 2 more states - the Dakotas - that I have never been to. I would love to see / hike in TRNP.
24th June 2013

I hope to see that some day, and do some hiking in the Badlands. I'd also love to see Custer SP in that area.
23rd June 2013

Mt Rushmore is definitely still on the bucket list!! Thanks!
23rd June 2013

When you do, be sure to take a Side trip to this park. You will not be disappointed.
22nd June 2013

Awesome pictures and descriptions as usual! Looking forward to your stop at Mt. Rushmore. That is still on my bucket list!
21st June 2013

Make a date with the park.

You are certainly covering some ground, hope you are keeping yourselves well sustained with appropriate beverages (but not while driving!).Our country is absolutely beautiful.Drive safely.

I would love to go back to GNP and do some hiking / backpacking, but would carry pepper spray this time around. We drove the opposite way - from Helena to GNP and were struck, as were you, by how "empty" the terrain was. Huge farms but no
gas stations or stores, and very few buildlings. Where to people buy food or gasoline?

Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful blog of your travels through our great country. I was so happy you went back to see Mt. Rainer. It is a majestic mountain. My daughter and son-in-law live in Maple Valley. When you stand in
their driveway you look at Mt. Rainer. A priceless view. When we do face time so I may talk to my grandson and watch the baby crawling she will turn her iPad so I can see the 'mountain'. I'm enjoying your wonderful pictures and your beautiful descriptive writing. Thank you again for sharing you trip through your blog.
