Niagara Falls - one of the most beautiful places on earth
Niagara Falls is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. And what is so special about this place is that every time I go back there it feels like I am there for the first time again. You never get bored there and you never can see enough. Would you like to read more about Niagara Falls follow this link -> http://www.touramerica.ie/destination/niagara_falls

Where to stay at the amusement park
Bob & Paula, As our two granddaughters get older and the eldest goes to high school (she is in 7th), they will no longer be able to come to Fladuring their school vacation due to their vacation activities at school. Soooo, we are looking for alternate spots to visit in the fall, winter and spring and summer, maybe for a week or so. What do you suggest? You have a camper but we camp by Ann's rules "I will camp anywhere they have room service", so you know we are always looking for nice accomodations, not five star, around 3-4 star, with places for old folks to visit (although I like rides). Bob, did you ever ride a barge through the Erie Canal? I think Ann may be OK with that. We will be in FL this winter mid Feb - mid Mar. We will try to hook up, but Sally might be a problem. Bob V. PS Paula your pictures are terrific. It looks easy, but it takes real talent like yours to get such great photos.

"bush berries"
The "bush berries" look like mountain ash to me. Plentiful and pretty in the fall.

bush berries
I believe that is a photo of Sorbus americana, or American mountain ash, a native tree that grows in boggy areas as well as on top of mountains

Jealous!
I want to see the Bay of Fundy myself. It's the largest tidal flow in the world and I photographed the second largest this summer, Cook Inlet in Alaska. Also, I've read Slocum's book, an astounding story. Looks like you're having a wonderful time!

Note that the pennant is trailing. With a wind-powered boat,it should never trail. The wind pushes it forward, as it does the sails. The Italian government had to withdraw a new coinage issue because of the same problem.

Love the travel blog
Hi Paula & Bob, Thank you for your kind card with note, we really enjoyed having everyone get together as well as catching up with you and Bob before you took off on your next adventure. You leave just enough information to entice one to get on the road and travel, and the photos are beautiful. In particular - I liked "through an upstairs window", "scene at campsite", and "luggage cart." If you have any shots of your kitties en route please let me know. Best, Susan

Acadia
Hi to you both: Glad you've made it to Acadia; it IS beautiful and you've certainly captured it in your pictures, Paula. We've been there and loved it, too. Enjoy the rest of your trip. By the way, saw Carol Walthall Schmallenberger last Sunday; first time I've seen her in eons! Love, Lois

Lovely scenery/wonderful restorations
Glad y'all are having a good time. Love the neat photo of the two of you. From your attire and the scenery, I can tell the weather is pleasant--a real change from the humid St. Pete area! (Fortunately, we're up in KY right now, where the humidity is low and the temperatures are more like in fall, too.)

Looking good
You and Bob look great! Traveling does agree with you. As always, I am enjoying the travelogue and photos. Just wish I were there instead of here. I'm two months post-op from hip replacement surgery and the recovery process is challenging. So, my travels will have to be delayed for a few months. Groan! Take care, Pat
