Hi All,

This is the end of the blogs of this's year's travel adventure -- some more photos of Acadia National Park in Maine and some shots of Roosevelt Campobello International Park on Campobello Island, New Brunswick. The Roosevelt estate and the extensive park are managed jointly by Canada and the US. When we were there in early September, the numerous flower beds were in full blooming beauty.

The last photo in this blog is of a young man walking on the slippery rocks, barefoot, in the strong wind and crashing waves the day before Hurricane Earl passed by. This is the same place where a group of people got swept into the water last year and a young girl drowned. Makes one wonder . . .

For you Trivial Persuit players, here's a list of all the "est's" photos you've been sent in these recent blogs:

*the highest mountain on the Eastern seaboard and the first place the sun touches in the US from October 7 through March 6 (Cadillac Mountain in Acadia Nat'l Park)
*the longest covered bridge in the world (Heartland Bridge in New Brunswick, CA)
*the biggest tidal pool in the western hemisphere (Old Sow Tidal Pool on Deer Island, New Brunswick)
*the southernmost fjord in the world (Saguenay fjord in Quebec off the St. Lawrence Seaway)
*the most photographed lighthouse in the world (Easy Quoddy Lighthouse on Campobello Island, New Brunswick)
*the second highest lighthouse in Canada (Pointe au Pere at the maritime museum in Rimouski, Quebec)
*a plant with the second largest single leaf of any plant in the world (Victoria pond platters at Longwood Gardens, PA)

Until our next trip, take care,
Paula & Bob
