Another great blog
I reckon you'll have plenty to see and do while living two weeks in Melaka...enjoy.

Bravo, great blog.
As others have said, truly a masterpiece. Let the monster out again. We felt we were right there with you. The joys of a Tiger beer and the bliss of a breeze. Continue on. Hope to hear more soon.

"The bathrooms not so much"
A frequent phrase while in Asia. Ah, the joys of travel, the adventure can be basic. The bush is a grand idea. Ah the aromas of travel. Melaka sounds like your cup of tea, not too touristy. Love the 3D Nanci.

Thanks for writing!
Your comments really mean a lot to us. Of course, David's head is so big, he can no longer get through the door.I have the feeling we haven't heard the last of him; we've created a monster! Nanci

Vicarious
I have to admit, I had never read any of your previous blogs until I saw this one recommended by others. So, as for "back to regular blogs next time..." I hope we will not have to love and leave this fleeting descriptive style as a flash in the pan anomaly, which transports us from wherever we are, to wherever you were. To suffer the heat as we once did and, make us wince, though deep down we pine. Be our eyes, our ears, our senses, on the road...Please ;-)

What a brilliant mix of nostalgia and the present in an unusually effective use of 2nd-person descriptive narrative. Beautifully written and the photos are perfectly matched with the writing.

A Masterpiece
This is one of most beautifully written blogs to ever appear on Travelblog. Eloquent, descriptive, and accompanied by evocative photographs. Congratulations!

Line Clear - Nasi Kandar

The story behind the name
I ate here too, it was one of the best meals of all my travels. According to a local friend, this restaurant obtained its name because a more popular (and supposedly better) Nasi Kandar restaurant always had queues. So this new establishment promoted themselves as being as place where one did not have to wait for a meal - hence "Line clear", or "No queue".

Food!
Yum! Love the sound and look of nasi kandar. We love bourdain too, someone could make a lot of money by putting together a 'bourdain food tour' around the world :)

Bangkok Flower Market

You've just combined two of my guilty pleasures - Amazing Race and open-air markets! I would be perfectly content to live inside this photo for a while, as I imagine the air is overwhelmingly fragrant.

Bangkok Flower Market

Amazing Race
That, is one of our favorite shows, also. I think it's like a prerequisite for Travel Blog! The flower market was beautiful and smelled even better. We just pulled into Penang, Malaysia after a 24-hour train trip; we should be writing soon! Thanks for following, Nanci

Memories of our trip were dancing in our heads
Can't believe you've been there a month already. Glad you've enjoyed your time in Bangkok. Great photos. I'll add the photo of the Singha to the forum featuring beers around the world. Happy travels.

just gorgeous :)

Where is your next stop???
I liked the theme of your blog...how to stay cool on hot days. You found some places I had never been to...like the Foreign Correspondents Club...and I deliberately avoided Soi Cowboy.
