The case of the beheaded goat I remember our discussion about the goat's head you found on the trail...that seems like so long ago! How are you guys going to settle into a 9-5 routine after this life of thrilling adventure you have had?? ;) I love the look of Burichara, it's so charming.
Blogging from Paradise! What a memorable place for your 100th blog--congratulations! Perfect beaches, boulders, forests, warm swimming water and no traffic--excellent! I will definitely go there now, too! Amazing that you saw some indigenous people there--I've never read that on any other blogs, but so sad about the little girls having babies--so dangerous for them. But how magical for you to both be in such a special place and glimpse those who still live in their traditional ways. Great photos, too!
Re: Blogging from paradise Thank you Tara. We would definitely recommend Tayrona Park, it's just so beautiful and picturesque. It was sad to learn about the young girls of the indigenous people here. We love that despite the tourism happening around them, they've still maintained their traditions and culture but the young pregnancies is probably one aspect we'd like to see ended there. Still, it was a bonus to actually see them let alone manage to take a picture.
Beautiful beaches Another beautiful place you have discovered on your travels! And what an incredible spot to celebrate and 'contemplate' on your 100th blog :) Congrats guys! Love reading about your adventures... so keep the blogs coming! :)
Re: Beautiful beaches Thank you! It was such an amazing place, especially the beaches. Seeing the shooting stars was definitely a highlight for us. Glad you are still enjoying the blogs, we can't believe we've written 100 already!!
Great street art i enjoyed the street art you found. I took a street art tour in London two years ago and I really liked that tour and I have taken a liking to street art in general since then.
The rest of Cartagena Old town seems to be lovely too. Will for sure make a stop there whenever I decide to go to Colombia.

Great street art Street art can really brighten up a place and offer a lot of inspiration on life and social issues. Bogota and Medellin were particularly good with this too so you should also count them whenever you visit.
mysore tourism beautiful pictures. Mysore is a home to palaces displaying fantastic architecture, wildlife sanctuary, gardens, temples and much more...you need a good amount of time to witness the beauty and explore best places to visit in mysore .
MYSORE TOURISM We agree, India as a whole is such a beautiful and diverse place. Unfortunately 5 weeks was all we could manage on this trip but no doubt we will return. Any tips on all the places around here that we missed out will be great for us and the other readers ?
Salsa dancing :) Looks like my kind of place for sure! Music all around, learning Spanish and dancing (loooove Latin rhythms!) and most importantly not rushing anywhere... That's the way to travel! :) What an incredible place, so vibrant and full of colours! I can hear South America calling me louder and louder with each blog I read... one day :)
As for your blogs guys, keep them coming :) you're doing an amazing job! And even though I'm far, far behind with reading, I'll definitely catch up on your older blogs sooner or later, so don't be surprised if you see some comments on a few oldies :)
Salsa Its great to hear that Colombia inspires you. We really loved our time there. I hope you manage to visit. The problem is deciding on where to go next. I'm sure we will have the same problem on our next trip. No worries, look forward to any comments you make. They always make us smile.
Start writing your book Hope your health continues on the up swing. Sounds dreadful to be sick twice in a short period of time. You are great story tellers. The ability to be informational, humorous and make us want to follow in your footsteps. Thanks again. Fantastic photos.
Start writing your book Thank you; that means a lot. Whenever we re-read them they always evoke emotions based on our experiences like horror when we were on the great wall or anticipation when arriving in a new place like Colombia as it takes us back to that place and time. Its great to hear they offer something other than being informative for our readers too. We both cannot believe we still have your interest!
Those evil mosquitoes! Sorry to hear about your illness P...hope you have made a full recovery and won't have anything to worry about at your check-up back home. You guys have made Colombia a serious consideration for us (we thought about it a few years ago, but can't remember why it fell out of favour), it might be time to re-assess our list. Fabulous photos as usual!
Evil They are evil little things mosquitoes, haven't seen any long lasting side-effects apart from getting raised rashes any tine I itch. Looking forward to a health check up either way.
Falling in love... I loved reading about how you fell in love with Cartagena. I have always wanted to park myself in a Spanish speaking country for a month or so and go to Spanish school - your reality of learning, walking, exploring and eating ice cream sounded exactly like my fantasy :) Regarding the frequency of posting blogs, as thrilled as I was to see two of your blogs waiting for me when I logged in, I would maybe space them out every three or four days to give each one maximum exposure on the front page.
Falling in love.. It was an ideal life of exploring the culture without having to move too much. Definately recommend you travel before mass tourism transforms it into something new. Everyone seems to be saying the same about uploading them so will give some of them a few days. We did notice the blogs where we posted 1 immediately after barely get any reads but then guess the beauty of that is that people have to be looking for it to find it. ?
Brilliant Cartagena! What a perfect place to spend a month learning Spanish and enjoying two grand fiestas (fabulous photos)! Glad to hear the mud baths were worth it (I guess I'll try it). I'd thought the arepa (corn meal and cheese) were going to be a veggies' delight, but I guess one can get tired of them--that vegan meal looked great! So sorry P was ill and also that she had to deal with that angry street seller--sometimes, I've taken the food as prepared and found an appreciative street dog to relieve me of the burger. Regarding the pageants--too bad about the girls getting the implants to appeal to foreigners--sometimes in a poor country, she's the ticket for the whole family getting by, a witness to how deep is the poverty. But for a tourist and many Colombians, it seems such a wonderful country. Glad you could tell the world about this.
Brilliant Cartagena It was the perfect place to recharge, try and learn the language while soaking in the country. Yes the poverty must run deep, I can't imagine given this and the turbulent history why everyone was soo happy and welcoming. A testiment to this amazing place. I did try the arepas for the first week but they were a little cheese heavy and so I found it hard to eat too many. Saying that could not eat fish too much after here either. The vegan place was perfect, the food very good (called Los girasoles).
Like you, we also seemed to made a few dog friends here feeding them water. They was always so friendly often walking us home.
Hi we're Chris and P. We have quit our jobs and sold our house to follow our dream of travelling around the world for 12 months!!!
Let’s jump back about 2 years - We're driving to P's friend’s house for an evening meal when she turns and says "I've been thinking..."
And what a thought that was indeed. That thought turned into buying a dilapidated property and spending a total of 2 years 'doing it up' ourselves coupled with a new job and a wedding thrown into the mix for good measure. We even questioned ourselves at times on whether travelling would actually become a reality or be j... full info
