Flowers Kings Park, what a wonderful setting for Anzac Day. I notice quite a few neighbours grow those colourful flowering gums now, perhaps they have been modified for our Eastern states. We had grey drizzly weather in Sydney for Anzac Day
Brass Monkeys Is the same ´Brass Monkey´ as you showed me in Paddington near Sydney. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. If you manage to find Ian Cam let me know. I know Karen would be interested too as they were in the same class as school. I remember Ian´s visit to Rearsby.
Indian Pacific Great to hear from you Dave & Merry Jo! Travelling on the train across the country really helps to gain some understanding of this 'wide brown land'.
Superb Michelle
I would not have believed you are already 70 but as they say it is only a number. You look amazing and obviously all the travelling helps:-) I am envious and can't wait till I get to my retirement age too.
Look forward to hearing about all your travels in Feb.

Driver Bogota to Ville de Leyva Hi Michelle
My wife and I are going to Colombia in March 2014. We need to get from Bogota to Ville de Leyva and read with interest your blog. I was wondering if you have contact details for Ricardo (would you have email?), or know the best way to hire a driver and how much it costs? Also, we are staying two nights in Valle de Leyva and would then have him take us back through Nemocon, Zipaquira, etc.
Thank you
Darren
Colombian transportation I'm sorry but we don't have an email address for Ricardo or his wife Patricia who are both drivers. Neither of them speak any English (well hardly any!) but their phone number was + 3138025303. Hope that number hasn't changed since last year and that you speak a little Spanish. M
The party's over Michelle what a wonderful 70th birthday you have had. A wonderful production done superbly done. Bush fires here today so you will have a very hot welcome home. Look forward to catching up
Belated birthday greeting I have got to say that being 70 is no big deal, considering I am fast approaching 80 (four more years to go). I am sure you have celebrated this milestone in typical Michelle fashion and with all your family around it must have been a blast. Best wishes for the decade to come.
Looks like you had a fantastic time Michelle with your lovely family. Congratulations!
With lots of love,
Rachel, James, Jake, Helena and Sam x x x x x
Happy 70th! Hi Michelle, sounds like the family is gathering - happy 70th! What a wonderful way to celebrate! Making beautiful memories with loved ones all around. Have a blast.
Feeling a bit envious Michelle, Vivienne's cousin has just dined at a fabulous Paris restaurant that you might like to check out www.julienparis.com/en
We started travelblogging in 2008 when, with the parenting responsibilities of six children long-gone, we (Michelle & Kevin) left home for a three months adventure during which time we spent some of the kids inheritance! Having always loved traveling, prior to our three months away six weeks has been the longest period we've been overseas and that was mostly with kids in tow. Now officially retired (well sort of) I think we'll be taking up this traveling lark with a vengeance! ... full info
