Well Helloo
I am reading your blog after helping the neighbors help us remove another 5-6 inches of snow from the driveway. So far we have removed about 10 inches. It is now 5:30 pm and it is supposed to snow til 4 am. St. Martinville may not look so bad now!!! Love your blogs.

that snow is probably very pretty
I've been hearing the snow amounts from lots of Michigan folks, enjoy the beauty and take time to sew!! miss the guild!

Merry Christmas
Thank you, love that sea bean! That lizard looks like a snake to me. Must be great to take your time to enjoy these wonderful places and not have to rush through in a week or two vacation. Thank you for sharing, I love your pictures, Joan

Joan
Thank- you Joan. It is nice to hang around and live in a place for a while rather than just tour. But we'll be back to touring next week instead of staying for a month.

Magdalena
I was looking around the internet about Magdalena and came across your photos. I own 52 acres of land in the Santa Rita Ranches development on county road 354 very close to where you were shooting photos of the old school house near Riley. I came there from Chicago for no apparent reason and bought land there in 2007. It was nice to hear how much you enjoyed Magdalena and the surrounding area. I have a large silver ring with a large turquoise stone in the center I purchased in Magdalena. The owner said it was a very nice ring but it hadn't sold because it didn't fit anybody's finger. I tried it on and it fit perfectly and I bought it and have prized it ever since. It was made by a local Native American artist and is one of a kind. It's seem strange that I came across your blog by accident but I thought it would be nice to write you. I have also been to the Cliff Dwellings and found them fascinating. I live in Milwaukee currently and could use some of the more temperate weather right about now. I left from Elephant Butte, NM to come here where my brothers live so that my ailing mother could be closer to family and Hospital care. She passed away on Nov 1st this year 2013. It helped my mind to get over my sorrow to look at your photos. You never know who you might help when you least expect. Thanks for photos and blog.

Kevin
Thank you for your kind words about my blog. The holidays can be a difficult time especially since you have had such a recent lose. We really did enjoy our time in New Mexico and I'm glad that you got some comfort from reading about our time there. Tamara

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you! You always find such interesting things to see and do! I love to read your blogs. Have continued fun and safe travels in the New Year!

Christmas!!
Hello. Where are you guys headed after the New Year? We made it to Earp, Ca where you came to see us last year. We had a little mishap at a Walmart in Phoenix. I would not recommend getting your oil changed at the one Walmart there. They tore off our air conditioner on the roof of our motor home as the tech drove it out of the bay. Richard blogged about it and boy did we get a response - positive - today that they would reimburse me as the repair man refused to deal with CMI/Walmart. We are soaking up the warm sun and dry weather here and it FEELS SO GOOD. I love your quilts and to hear that Dave is still with you! Be well. Jackie and Richard

Merry Christmas to you too!
Looks like you are having a great time. Can't wait to see what you do with the blocks.
23rd December 2013

wow
Seems like you are having a great time! A fellow camper had a collection of sea beans and other assorted floatsam, and she made jewelry from them. She also made bookmarks. I got a bookmark, and then I made it into a simple necklace. You, I am sure, can make some great stuff! The weather here is cold and damp...lots of ice, but the snow has turned into snirt (snow mixed with dirt) and is no longer pretty. Will miss family, but anxious to get back in the sunshine again!

Beans
Hey I sent you that bean; glad you got it before Christmas! I didn't know how long it would take, going by sea like that. And Ron....a legless lizard is called a SNAKE.
24th December 2013

thanks
What a thoughtful gift Jan. Please send more. Ron said if I would touch the lizard I'd feel how it was different than a snake . I choose to just believe him.

Dauphin Island
Be sure to take a trip to the island. It is fun to go by the ferry and ride your bikes around the island. We stay there for a month in March and may go in February this year also. The fishing is great.

Yawntoo
I'm sorry, Aaron is quite wrong about "Yawntoo". The word is either "yawnta" or "yawnna".
6th December 2013

spelling error
The spelling error is mine, it's the English teacher me.

I'm very happy Ron was able to fix your water heater after the Cottonmouth photo-op.

What wonderful nature experiences you are having
Thank you so much for sharing travel I will never be able to do but enjoy it through your blog and pictures. I don't understand how those thousands of grasshoppers can find food in all that sand

Paddle
Oh man, I can't believe YOU got to paddle the Black Canyon before I did!! Sounds great though.

Good to hear from you again
Vegas. If that does not prevent you from returning home, I suspect you'll be traveling again next year. It has to be difficult to return home to this flat featureless (relative featureless-ness) area. Tulip are peaking through the winter debris and the trees are budding. Still unusually cool and wet. Not time to return yet. p

Beautiful country!
Thank you so much for including me in blessing our magnificent country. You are positively poetic and you should write a book of your travels for others to follow or simply enjoy. Jo an
