Thanks Wendy,
I know you will enjoy any time you spend in South America....

When you said that you had been on the road for three months...
I thought "no way, I've been following you for all this year!" Then I noticed that you've been publishing your blogs from January until now, but your trip ended last April. Anyway, It's been fun following you, reading about China before we went there at the end of March. I'm glad that you finished...so many don't after they get home with other things to do.
7th August 2013

Thanks for finishing blogging your trip...
you had an amazing trip which I enjoyed following.

End of the trip...
Thanks Bob! It's always sad when you finish a trip. But planning the next one already.... As you know travel is very addictive!

GREAT MEMORIES......
I always remember SR. There is an NGO that works very hard with dissabled children over there, it´s called ODA. Those children study and also paint and sell whet they create. I miss them. Hugs from Argentina.

Ceremony and sisters..
How great that you got to have a family reunion in such a gorgeous and exotic place, and you got to experience that moving funeral ceremony. I often enjoy best the serendipitous events that reveal a culture. Have fun with you mom and other sister!

Great update and pics!
Hi Friends, We're back home in Canada and picking up the pieces. It's been great reading about your trip and viewing your pics. I'm so pleased we met back in Phonsavan, Laos and had the opportunity to explore the ancient Plain of Jars and the bomb village together. Beers and music around the campfire in a spent bomb casing was memorable too.

All that gliders is gold
You've taken some great photos in this one.

We loved the French influence
Anytime the French have had influence the food will be wonderful. One of our favorite towns is Luang Prabang. We loved riding bikes around town and enjoyed the view from Phu Si. We enjoyed traveling along with you. We too regret not going to the Plains of Jars. We are eagerly awaiting your impressions.

MARKETS
It´s amazing how markets all around Asia are so similar and fantastic. The best way to know a city is to visit its markets. Lovely pictures, dear traveller. Hugs from Argentina. Graciela.

Faces in the sky

SO THAT'S WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE
Only been to the top of Emei in a blizzard...visibility difficult. Nice to see clearly what we could not. One of our favourite places in China though. What a great trip you are having.

DAFO
I'm always interested in pictures of Dafo as his survival is so dependant on the level of maintenance from algae and vegetation attempting to eat into his surface. This pic of his left hand is a great example. Glad you are enjoying Sichuan. It is a beautiful provence.

China Market
Wished I could have been there when you spoke about the silk thread at the market- I use it for quilting and it's so expensive here.

How could you turn down pre-packeaged chicken feet
Ah, just kidding. As much as we love to try all the local foods, that one does not sound appealing. Thank you for your descriptions of the women's head dress.
