Never Forget
Thank you for your blog. I agree with you, that the atrocity of the holocaust should never be forgotten. I will be the first person in my family to visit Poland this year and Auschwitz is one of the "must see" points of my tour. I am a 3rd generation American Pole. My great grandmother came her in 1901 so unfortunately I do not know who any of my remaining relatives might be. Many people think that only Jews were killed during this mass execution of humanity, but history shows that the Poles, Belgians, Czechs, and many other ethnicities were also put to death. Some could have very well been my relatives. They were my people. They were "our" people; the "human race". God created all mankind in His likeness. How sickening to see that evil left unchecked can lead to something so barbaric. My comfort is that God is a merciful God and He will one day put an end to all human suffering.
