We went to have breakfast at Oogo's again for waffles again. After breakfast, I set off to Tushita Meditation Center for meditation session while Elena went to LHA to meet the nun she’s supposed to have conversation session with. Tushita center is located high on the hill at Tushita Road. It took me almost 30 minutes to climb up from the bottom. The room was surprisingly packed. It was an hour session from 9.15 to 10.15 including Q&A session. The guide was a male (I found out from Neil that he’s from Netherlands on day 15). After the session, I went back hotel to rest before going to LHA to meet Elena for lunch. We had lunch at Jimmy’s Italian Kitchen. I had yummy tomato pasta and she had baked potato. After lunch, I went to ... read more

We had breakfast at Oogo's again and had waffles again. After that we walked around Bhagsu Road and eventually went to Nick’s for lunch and internet. After that, we walked to Bhagsunag waterfall, but decided to come back next time because we are bringing laptops and wearing flip flops. We planned to go back with shoes and bringing only water and camera. Then we went back hotel to rest. I accidentally spilled water onto my bag because I didn’t close the bottle cap properly, thus my laptop charger was spoiled and I had to get a new one soon.... read more

I woke up with very painful stomach in the morning. After vomiting and having diarrhea, I went to find doctors nearby but none was open early in the morning. So I went for my breakfast at Asian Plaza Terrace Restaurant and took Chinese diarrhea medicine before going to LHA to meet Rabsel and Elena for the tour (included in Orientation package by LHA). At 9 we started our tour in a cab. We visited CTA Central Tibetan Administration (used to be known as Tibetan Government in Exile). Then we went to Dharamsala and Dalai Lama's Summer Palace. The tour finished around 12, we went back to McLeod Ganj for lunch at Nick’s Italian Restaurant. After the lunch, my stomach pain was unbearable, so Rabsel brought us to Tibetan Delek Hospital near CTA. There, the doctor who ... read more

We went back to Snow Lion for its breakfast. After that, we took cab from Main Street to TCV(Tibetan Children's Village) to attend Dalai Lama’s teaching. We stood by the road to greet Dalai Lama who came in a car with a few security guards. The teaching was conducted in Tibetan language and there is English translation on the radio, thus foreigners need to listen to radio to listen to the teaching. We are not aware of this radio thingy, thus we didn’t bring any radio. Luckily there was a lady we met the day before, she offered us a radio to listen to. We were so lucky. But as the time passed by, I couldn’t bear the pain in my stomach, I thought it was a gastric. Hence I went back to McLeod Ganj alone ... read more

We had breakfast at 8.30 because we were supposed to meet Rabsel at 9.30 for introduction of the programme and the city. I had banana crepe at Café Budan, and Elena had toast. It's not bad, but the price was comparable to Singapore. Afterwards we met Rabsel, he brought us around and paid for our iced tea with lemon. It’s quite different from ice lemon tea in southeast asia because it was blended and the color was yellow. Couldn’t remember the name of the café. Then we parted ways with Rabsel and we went to Snow Lion for lunch. I had fried cheese vegetable momo (momo is a Tibetan cuisine) and mushroom soup (which is a thickened soup with a few slices of mushroom, not mushroom cream soup), while she had Chowmein (fried noodle with vegetables). ... read more

We reached at around 7.30am which means the whole journey took 13 hours. Rabsel picked us up from the bus stand and brought us with car to Pawan House. It's a guesthouse managed by a Kashmir man. He said I’m the first Indonesian to stay in his hotel, I feel honored. Then Rabsel took us to the rooftop to have a little chat. After that we unpacked our stuffs and then went wandering around the city. We started by having brunch at Carpe Diem. I had hash brown but they brought me omelette, cooked potato and toast; the name is misleading. Then it rained so we went back to the hotel to rest. After the rain stop, we went around all the roads. We bought cakes at the main street, I felt it was okay. We ... read more

I had my breakfast in the room as they have no physical restaurant in the hotel, but they do have a café which serves only cakes and drinks. It feels weird for me, but anyway I ordered egg fried rice (of which I only finish a quarter) and chocolate milkshake (I did finish this one). I checked out around 11.30am and the staffs helped me brought my luggage to the office of the Tibet guy who picked me up from airport the day before; the office is located at the basement of the building where the hotel is; it’s a multi-purpose building. At the office, I told him that I want to go to the city for a walk and he told me I could take a rickshaw to nearest metro station, and I was shocked ... read more

I left Singapore on Monday morning, 30th May. My anxiety attack started the day before I left, on Sunday 29th May. I vomitted at night right before dinner. Pretty sure it's due to anxiety, not the 3 hours run the night before. Having packed everything, I was still afraid I might miss any thing. I couldn't sleep and kept thinking of what I could've missed and whether I could wake up the next morning, and if I would be okay when I reach India (anxiety attack #2). In the end, I only managed to sleep for 2 hours after reading other people's stories about their journey in McLeod Ganj, my destination town. My first flight was Tiger Airways to Kuala Lumpur at 9.35am. I reached Changi Budget Terminal more than two hours before departure time, hence ... read more

We woke up early, around 6.30am for breakfast. After breakfast we set off to the last 2 dives. First dive of the day was Deep dive. The deepest we went was only 24m. I dived up to 22m before, so it didn't give me any different feeling. After the dive, I felt so dizzy, probably because the lack of food I had in the morning. Thus I decided to forgo the second dive, which is a leisure dive. Then we had our last lunch, showered, packed, and set off back to Mersing, and then back to Singapore. ... read more

Woke up at 8am, we had our breakfast straight away (without shower) and set off to the whole-day boat-ride diving experience. It's my first time on a boat for whole day. Surprisingly it wan't very sickening for me, but not for my friend. We had our first dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy, before having our packed lunch. After lunch, we set off for 3 more dives before we went back to resort for dinner, namely Navigation dive, Drift dive, and Night dive. It's my first night dive and it was pretty intimidating from boat to see the dark water. But when all of us are inside (around 11-13 person), it was quite bright underwater due to the torches. And the first night dive experience was AWESOME. Can't wait to bring camera underwater.... read more
