Howdy! Hey Marc! Been catching up on your blogs seeing as I've been away treknig myself for a couple of weeks. Still loving them as always! Disappointed you didn't climb the hill but lazily got the Gondola - haha! I think I stayed at Hippo Lodge too......
Didn't realise your stint in NZ was so long. When u plan on going back to Old Blighty? Or have you fallen in love with NZ so much that u plan staying there forever?? Be good to hear from you,
Simon [emailing from crazy Kathmandu]
theorem 50 oh, pictures of you sprawled, trying desperately to hold onto the ground sure do bring back memories dude. i hope you got up, slapped yourself about a bit and got on with the intake of more of the good stuff.
at least da vinci code is a little more interesting airport book than miss D. Steel's offerings. but then there isn't as much roger bravoing in mr. Brown's pages. two sides to every coin i guess. tippety top, over and out.
Top Gun Wow Claire, with that photo you could have played Maverick in an alternate universe!! I'm not sure about the view from your flat... looks a bit like Wyken to me. I get very jealous of you guys being out there while I'm sitting here in my Birmingham concrete office block designing sewers (only the most glamorous jobs for me), but it every time you blog it cheers me up a little bit. I've read every single one, just can't bring myself to comment on them very often!
Take care,
Tim x
Dan Brown's sweaty feet Hi Man
Just to add my agreement that the da vinci code is one of the worst books I've ever had the sheer bloody mindedness to read all the way through. I believe its devised from WWII japanese tortoure techniques. Read Faucout's pendulum by Umberto Eco, its like a good de vinci code. I like the singing picture, very 90s grunge band. Tell the ginga to get a hair cut, or die it, the humanity!
Frank and the weather Hi. This blog is making a facinating read, keep it up. Just two queries now you are a few months into having Frank any regrets on not getting a campervan. I guess the people you meet in the hostles makes the hostles better than camping. Are there many camp sites? Second could we have a tiny bit of news on the weather so we can be envious of your sun in our winter and smug about our sun in your winter, if it turns out that way! There are other reasons as well.
Health and safety stops at Dover Hi Man
Good to see things are turning out OK in NZ. Looks like a beautiful place you've at, and domestic bliss! ah bless. I hope the booze van is as safe and unbroken as the property van. Thoes Kiwis chaps seem to have a good handle on things mind. See you soon old boy

I was in Auckland for the Americas cup and Sydney for some big boat race too and they are spectacular. I took my car on ferry as i judged that the time and effort it would have taken me to empty the car and sell it then fit all my stuff into backpack was worth the money. I hope you have been to Te Papa- best museum in the country. glad to see the Thailand hippy theme is continued.

Back to blogging Hi Marc, glad to see you are back to blogging - I was beginning to think you had been abducted by aliens. What happened to all the photos we were promised of your beard in various stages of disappearance ???
Hailing from the sunny village of Coventry, England, 23 year old Marc & Claire hatched a cunning plan in the summer of 2004. Twas plan so cunning in fact you could literally brush your teeth with it: To conquer the world via the medium of travel! It then took about a year to actually do anything about organising it (boo to the "o" word), but now Leeds uni maths graduate Marc, and Swansea uni geography graduate Claire, ask you to come hither to their blog of comedy events through India, Asia and finally New Zealand. We salute your coming to visit our photos and anecdotes. In addition this blog ... full info
