Still Life with Marc Brilliant photos! Possibly the most captivating of the entire blog! It's absolutely fascinating to see a Day in the Life at Liquor King. Who knew? Try not to work too hard.
Fat cat What a fat cat!
Love the photos, counting the days now!Lots of speckled hen here for you when you get back.(also pedigree, hobgoblin, Adnams, etc) A can of hobgoblin is just being opened now. Love to you both x
True grit Just to echo that the new lips album rocks in a very middle aged psychadelic deli type way, well done the lads. Good to see its made its way to NZ. Sounds like its getting a wee bit chilly down sounth. No such trouble in blighty, its lovely and warm. Although it has been raining for about 2 weeks solid, so I've had 38 BBQs to celebrate. ARgle
Still at liquor king yep still there whilte all the excitement goes on. but its good one of us is doing the things. maybe one day i'll do something toursity. ace pics dude.
snow! wow, glad u got ur mits on some snow at last, way more impressive than the flurry we had here soo many months ago now. the views and the fact u were in a helicopter very impressive, have to copy marc an say am very jealous! keep up the fantastic stories and pics xx
How true My dear fellow how true. Was the empire all for none. Surely if world domination was for one thing it was to spread what i call the 'tea gospel'. And possibly to nick all the tea from places that could grow it.
Bloody Colonials! I was so moved I have just made myself a cup to share in the joy which is tea. I am a bit disappointed that despite a century of imperial domination that we appear to have taught the Kiwi's nothing of the importance of a good cup of tea. Fools! What will they disregard next? Sheep? Reason? Beer?! There is no end to this madness
face my face how can a country as big as china have no tea? it makes my face quite on the downsad of things. on the plus side of things, i just watched both seasons of Bill....Car from head to toe. and then a james bond to wash it down. clang...clangalangalangalangalangalang...clangalang. ace news dude. ah, coding jack, how we miss thee and thine role model behaviour.
have fun chapty.
Knockers Open Doors Sorry freebie heenan - very crass i know, jealousy is a terrible trait. glad you got to see some snow though. any helly pilots wanting to treat me please get in touch. boo to liqour king and no cool free stuff.
Tough Choices Dude, i still have the old series of tope gear over here that i didn't get to see but fair enough, if there was any reason to leave life over here it would be for the new top gear. respect to the faceness of clarkson. i envy your face. man right.
Top of a Mountain or Top Gear? Duuude.....you need to get back to the uk, the new series of top gear has started!!! Sat and watched it complete with a Grove curry on sunday night.....oh and how i laughed. The highlight was where they decided to make a home made espace convertable using electric saws, some canvas and a few bits of plastic. Clarkson stiched his jacket to the canvass roof.....oh the hilarity.
Once they had made this beast, as is top gears way, they had to complete a series of challenges. The last was to go through a car wash in it. 5 seconds into the car wash and the roof started to collpase, they were all soaked so ran out the espace. Then the rollers managed to get stuck in the car somehow causing the motor on the (brand new ) car wash to short and set on fire. The last shot was of the 3 of them running into the distance while the car wash alternatly burned and squirted water.
Ace times, ace times.

Looks like stoke Has anyone else noticed the amazing resemblance New Zealand has to Stoke on Trent? Maybe its just the beer oozing along the ground. UP the Queen!
Seeing that box of beer's life blood ebb away into the soil made me physically sick.
I have lit a candle and will be standing vigil at the local off-licence tonight in memory.
songs Hey, we didn't just play the Final Countdown and Stairway to Heaven! We all also co-wrote a beautifull song about finding a special girl at a spelling conference and the love that developed.
I had such fun!
My extreme pleasure Hitting the HokitiKKAAAA Wild Food Festival was the highlight of my trip, which is saying something because on other occasions I got to milk a cow and drive a tractor.
It was made all the more enjoyable by the extremely excellent company that took me there, and no number of Duck's tongues can take that away from me. I have also now mastered the Final Countdown on the recorder thanks to the musical genius that is Marc.
By the way, I think we ate Bull's testicles that day instead of sheep, unless they were extremely well endowed sheep.
in reply to tim.... hey dude, had a quick look on the net and the accident on the flybywire apparently happened in 2001, couldnt find much info about it but guess they sorted it out good and proper becasue there hasnt been once since! Mum - it's probably safer then driving a car and you'll be glad to know i'm working far too much to have time to go on any more adventurous activites at the moment! love claire ps....tim you absolutely made my day...week...year by saying i looked like i should be in top gun. i love you!
Hailing from the sunny village of Coventry, England, 23 year old Marc & Claire hatched a cunning plan in the summer of 2004. Twas plan so cunning in fact you could literally brush your teeth with it: To conquer the world via the medium of travel! It then took about a year to actually do anything about organising it (boo to the "o" word), but now Leeds uni maths graduate Marc, and Swansea uni geography graduate Claire, ask you to come hither to their blog of comedy events through India, Asia and finally New Zealand. We salute your coming to visit our photos and anecdotes. In addition this blog ... full info
