Oh Schwalmie!!! Hi Schwalm, it's Keri Roberts (formerly Keri Brinkman, and yes, I am still trying to get used to the married name too!) Your trip sounds fantatstic and the pictures are amazing. Start sending these journals to me. I miss you, be safe, have a blast and have a Merry Christmas. There's a foot of snow on the ground here in Ohio where I live so you are better off than me for sure! Love ya....Keri - Keri Roberts
Jeesh! Chris, you must have a guardian angel. Next time a kid tries to pickpocket you, beat the snot out of him in front of everyone. Word will travel and you will be more respected on the streets. Same goes for the crooked cops. I've heard about the police down there. I have a great trick if they try that extortion again. When they ask you for money.... just start laughing really loudly with buggy eyes and PEE yourself. Guaranteed that they will give your wallet back and leave you alone. - Brian
GIG'EM Chris Schwalm I know you used your aggie saying with the guy from Texas right? I am not counting or anything but you will be home in less than a month! Cant wait to see you. ADIOS! Gringo!

William and Mary will be playing JMU in the semi-finals of the football playoffs. Just thought you would want to know. other then that nothing much going on, Question: Are you renting boards down there or borrowing? and what size is the board?

Bike Chris,
Yuri here. If you get down to Puerto Viejo, and you should, get a bike down there and ride it to punta uva (grape point). You can rent bikes downtown. It's about a half hour ride, you can do it barefoot. And bring snorkle stuff. Probably my favorite spot in Costa Rica. Great to hear how much fun your having. Enjoy.

Hi from Mom Hi Chris, Dad and I love reading about your adventures and observations. We are living vicariously through your travels. Keep posting. Love, Mom and Dad
Hi Chris, its Lisa Hey big brother! It's great to hear that you're having a good time and already picking up on local customs (siestas). Hope you meet some more locals at the beach and had a great time white water rafting! I miss you!!
Glad that you arrived safe and sound. Get a cheap watch, amybe you'll find one that someone is selling on the street, under his jacket! Have fun rafting!
Travelling is a passion of mine and I think it is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I got interested in other cultures at a young age when I visited a friend in Egypt. I did a few months trekking around Europe after college. Then a few years later I went for a year long solo trip around the world. That was sooooo amazing (the bulk of these blogs are from that trip). Since then I met an amazing woman (Haley) and she and I try to visit at least one new country a year (more like 2). Check out my stuff, I hope you enjoy it.
...get out there and experience the world!... full info
