Big Island Chris, you basically summed it up great. Jeff and Amber were the best hosts and they showed us a great time... making the big Island my favorite Island. (Thanks so much if you guys get to read Chris' blog) the hot lava, and swimming with the turtles are memories I will never forget! ~jen

more comments... The shadow shot is of us on green (olivine) sand beach. Don't be fooled the bird sunshine bit chris after this shot- the bird, Sunshine, is in love with Jeff and he knows the difference! Chris and I got to ride the local bus a lot - took two hours to get to the big island but the waves got up to 30-40 feet when we were there! Also we ate at good ol' famous Pizza Bobs! Another highlight was the amazing half price sushi... you should have see the look of pure joy when chris found out they also had karaoke at the half price fancy sushi place. It was probably the most excited I've seen him! hahaha! Oh and he also left out the Aloha Stadium Flea market... Chris loves to shop for tshirts. :)

Watch the WEATHER, there can certainly be effects of the earthquake in India all around the world. A tsunami is extremely powerful and silent... listen to NOAA radio or something like it for world weather; I have heard there were warnings for Thailand however there was NO early warning system to get the warning to the people. Travelling is a passion of mine and I think it is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I got interested in other cultures at a young age when I visited a friend in Egypt. I did a few months trekking around Europe after college. Then a few years later I went for a year long solo trip around the world. That was sooooo amazing (the bulk of these blogs are from that trip). Since then I met an amazing woman (Haley) and she and I try to visit at least one new country a year (more like 2).
