We get picked up from outside our hostel at 7.10am. We pick some more passengers up from other hostels along the way. First we enjoy a scenic coastal drive to Port Douglas via the Captain Cook Highway. We stop at a lookout and take photos of the view (absolutely beautiful). Next stop - The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary. This is where we first encounter the cassowary. We are able to take advantage of the guided tour around the koala, python and baby croc (although its mouth was taped together - not good) We then have just over an hour to explore by ourselves. Mossman Gorge - first a walk through the rainforest then a swim in Mossman River. Lunchtime - we have a picnic and chat with the guide about kayaking, rafting and triathlon! We have
