Charming
You are inspiring me! I loved the thatched cottage, something I would like to see but have not yet.

Charming
Do visit Ireland! It's very special to see thatching these days. I have seen it three times in three countries.

Killarney and environs
We stayed in a B&B about 15 minutes walk from downtown Killarney - close enough to get early-morning shots. But the town itself was bigger than it seemed on the map, somehow, and our scheduled stops did not include the interior of any of its churches, so I'm glad to see what St. Mary's looks like, at least. A far cry from the United Churches we grew up with in Western Canada. It sounds as if your tour is organized well to handle so many moving parts.

Killarney area
Undoubtedly there are more sites and experiences in and around Killarney than we saw. A place to revisit.

Cliffs and Program
I envy you your blue-sky day at Moher, but am glad we didn't get one like our guide told us about - where people arrive and say, "Where are the cliffs?" I guess it can get fogged in very badly. Your photos have interesting composition. As for your performance, thanks for the details. That gives me a much better idea of what you sing!

Program
Thanks for following the song links. A chance to reminisce.

The greens of Ireland
So many wonderful shades of green. Music in every venue and wonderful people.

Current stuff!
I had some vague idea that this might have been a trip from last fall, or any fall for that matter. Maybe that was the reference to threatened snowstorms. But somehow the photos didn't align with that idea. Imagine my surprise when I checked the date and it was just a week ago! Get that weather under control, for goodness sake. :-) As for the rest of it, what a lovely way to spend the day, from helping tourists to playing tourist to meeting Sister Prejean. As you say, an unexpected brush with fame - some might even say with greatness.

Ahh, the weather!
Still haven't got a grip on weather - pouring rain tomorrow predicted for the Stampede Parade!

On The Road Again.... Still
274 blogs later and you are still exploring the world and sharing your impressions. You've seen some amazing places around the world. Thanks for taking us along.

Still on the road
Your appreciation is appreciated. Thank you for being my loyal blog follower. I hope to keep travelling for lots more years.

Churches
Your photos nicely illustrate these exquisite structures with their soaring ceilings/roofs, as well as the distinctive residential architecture. Good acoustics in the church, I presume? And did they make a video of your choir's performance?

Churches
Thanks! Some churches swallowed sound, but the best enhanced our performance. We have a mixed media record of our trip.

They'd been warned you were coming, I suppose . . .
Which is why they knew to warn you not to take photos. (I wonder if a sketch would have been allowed. Too bad we weren't taught to draw. Rather like singing, they just decided we couldn't.) Your views of Dublin make me wish we'd had more than one day there. A lot to see.

Sketching
You are right about drawing. A century or more ago, the ability to sketch was taken for granted.

I think you liked Dublin
And I think you have the background to appreciate it. I wonder if our cities will ever be so rich in history. I guess we started later so can't catch up, exactly, but we can at least preserve and appreciate what we do have. I need to find a local tour guide for Ottawa. As for Joyce, what a guy to expect that readers would devote themselves to his novel. And how amazing/wonderful that many do.

Love Dublin
A great place, with its own history. Our history is as old as their's if we start correctly from the First Nations' use of what is now Canadian land.

We love Dublin
The music, the people and the food.

Central location
I think I'll choose my next tour based solely on where their hotels are. For Dublin, we stayed on the outskirts: a crime of "lost early-morning photography opportunities." It did facilitate the out-of-town field trips, I guess. Great shots of the Long Room and the downtown in general.

Central Location
Certainly my preference is for relatively inexpensive hotels close to the things I want to see. But, I don't drive on holidays, so a central location is important.

Alberta Bound
I'll see your song-title reference. :-) Moving out of touring mode back into travel mode to go home is not my favourite part of any trip, but a necessary one. It seems that you used your day well.
