Wow! You sound busy! That's amazing, I hope you win the last game too. Volleyball is one of my favorite sports ever, so it must run in our family ;)
That's so cool you are in Nutcracker again. You'll make a great soldier - if your dad takes pictures, please send me some!
Knitting? No :( I know, it's so sad. We both need to start up again!
love Alia

Ich liebe Wien. Warst du shon in Wien? Ich wohne in der 1er Bezirk und hoere viele Musik und vielen Deutsch :)

Hi Alia! Hi Alia,
deine Mutter schickte mir deine Blog. Klasse, du bist also derzeit in Australien?! Und du warst in Europa? Welche Städte hast du schon bereist?
Die Bilder sind echt klasse :-)
liebe Grüße aus München!
The Cloth Hall The Cloth Hall is sort of indoors... it doesn't have doors, but it has walls and a roof, so it's like a tent but made of concrete. So it's kind of like a combination of being inside and outside.
As for the salt mines, it does indeed still mine salt, and I was one of the gross people who LICKED the wall, and tasted the salt. It was exactly like regular table salt!
Weird. I don't see why it didn't link to the Krakow one. Well, thanks for noticing that for me.
I miss Mittens and Zoe and Puff SO MUCH!!!! I had a terrible dream the other night that I had a GLASS cat, and it fell on the floor and shattered, so I was crying in my dream that my cat "died." I think I am seriously having kitty withdrawls :(

For some reason, Alia's page on the Czech Republic doesn't link to the page on Poland as it's supposed to. Use the address above to go to the page on Poland.
Thanks for all the pix, Alia! Charles had been asking if there were any new ones. I hope we'll see some more pictures of yourself soon! I know you'll be busy this week. But . . . next week, when you tell us about Hungary, maybe! Hoping all is well . . . . :) P.S. Mittens misses you and Lauren, and when John is away, she really misses all of you.
whoa! Wow. Congratulations! I had no idea. I bet he is a nice man if you are marrying him. I am really glad my mom told you about my blog because it will be a good way to stay in touch with you.
love, Alia
Hi Pat! Thank you so much for your comment! It has been an incredible semester so far, and continues to be. Yesterday I got back from Budapest and felt like I was coming 'home.' It was a very nice feeling.
from Los Alamos Dear Alia,
How exciting! I liked your picture of the aligator and it's interesting to see your dorm room.
I hope you're having a really good time along with learning a lot!
Hello from Maryland I had a good talk with your mother yesterday and she sent us this blog. It is fun to see what you are doing. I'm getting married Nov. 11 to a wonderful man--Carl burbank. He showed me how to find your site and we're enjoying the pictures.
Poland, etc., here you come! I passed on your blog address to a few people whom I thought might be interested, such as Aunt Martha. We'll be waiting for more entries when you get back from your swing across eastern Europe . . . don't forget your Deutsch while you're away!
Hi! Ooh, you and Andrea would be some of the most fun people ever to play Apples to Apples with. Sometimes it's fun to play it correctly, but other times it's fun to be as completely ironic as possible and come up with the weirdest ones :)
Speaking of Andrea's birthday, I was really sad I couldn't send her a birthday message. There was some reason, I can't remember, but I did remember that it was her birthday. I plan on getting her something small from the Czech Republic because of Uncle Alan's ties there, etc.
Anyway, I didn't do the flute audition after all, but I think that after having seen how intense this music workshop thing is, violin will be more than enough.
Talk to you soon. I hope all is well there.
love, Alia
:) Hi Aunt Dianne! Thank you for your message. I just found out how to reply to these comments.
Vienna is wonderful. Too bad you and Uncle John aren't here... we have an extra bed in our room, for some reason. Someday I hope you can make it here, though, because it is amazing.
Hope all is well in Topeka.
love Alia
Hi from Kansas I am so glad you have this opportunity to study in Europe. It will be something that you will always be happy that you did and will look back at it with fond memories.
Hi back Hi Alia, the city architecture looks gorgeous. The dorm room looks like...a dorm room. We play Apples to Apples too--Andrea got it for her birthday. Too bad the commute isn't shorter so the two of you could play it in the same group. Is yours in German? Hope your flute audition went well if you did it. Love from all 5 of us.
