I climbed 287 steps to get up to this tower.
Having gotten back yesterday from a tour around some of Eastern Europe, it is hard to summarize everything we did, and I don't want to cause anyone to feel obligated to read an entry that is the length of a novel. Therefore, this entry will be just about Prague, and later I will write some stuff about Krakow and then Budapest.

Friday night, we got to Prague in time for dinner, so we had a really good meal. The Czechs eat really well, so it was a big change from being in Vienna and scrounging up change for a piece of pizza at the kebab/pizza stand (why those two foods are always sold together, I don't know.)

Saturday, after touring castles and cathedrals and all that good stuff, we went to an 80's DISCO CLUB... haha, let me tell you, that was actually my real awakening moment: I am starting to like 80's music. It has taken me 21 years to finally admit this fact.

Sunday, after more touring and free time, we had a boat cruise on the river. That was amazing, to say the least. I guess there is little more to say, and I will

With about 2,000 tourists crowded around, I was happy to have managed to get a picture of this.

There were lots of bands on the streets like this in Prague, and polka seemed to be the favorite :)

My friend Allie turned 21 in Prague at midnight while at the 80's disco! This cake was served to her at the dinner (the following day, the continuation of her birthday.)

http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Krakow/blog-92498.html For some reason, Alia's page on the Czech Republic doesn't link to the page on Poland as it's supposed to. Use the address above to go to the page on Poland. Thanks for all the pix, Alia! Charles had been asking if there were any new ones. I hope we'll see some more pictures of yourself soon! I know you'll be busy this week. But . . . next week, when you tell us about Hungary, maybe! Hoping all is well . . . . :) P.S. Mittens misses you and Lauren, and when John is away, she really misses all of you.

Weird...
Why doesn't it link?? That's weird. Thanks for noticing that.

Weird. I don't see why it didn't link to the Krakow one. Well, thanks for noticing that for me. I miss Mittens and Zoe and Puff SO MUCH!!!! I had a terrible dream the other night that I had a GLASS cat, and it fell on the floor and shattered, so I was crying in my dream that my cat "died." I think I am seriously having kitty withdrawls :(
