Still laughing
Still laughing about the burnt toast incident....watching from the other side of the world while the two of you ran around like headless chickens is the funniest thing I have seen in a while! Love that you photograhed the offending piece of toast too!

Kilninian
Any chance of a high resolution photo of this church being emailed to us so we can complete our pictorial coverage of our stay on Mull.
6th October 2013

Will work on that tomorrow when we have full internet time available

Shepherd and his sheep
Two years ago we watched while the shepherd used his dog to round up geese at Aberfoyle. Either the geese were Christmas dinner guests or the shepherd has progressed to using sheep.

Definitely sheep now

Lovely family photo!
Good to hear your visit with the rellies went well and thanks for posting such a lovely shot of the cousins!
28th September 2013

It was a great evening out and in fact a fantastic here days with the rellies and all over too quickly.
12th September 2013

How is that for coincidence
Wow-amazing to think how your visit coincided with what I had read in the Dominion that very day!
12th September 2013

It was one of the strangest places to visit and very moving after having read what happened and then putting the pieces together as you looked at the various locations and buildings within the town.

Great to see the overall travel map
Seems like I have to select in the map area if I want to see the map now but it is there and yesterday's entry shows just how much of Europe you have seen this time-amazing!
11th September 2013

24,100km and counting in the car.Just another 40 or 50km to go tomorrow and we hand Cindy back.
5th September 2013

what has happened to the maps?
Have noticed the map at the top of your blog which normally shows where you have been isn't appearing...so I am having to drag out my atlas to keep track of you as you zoom round the French Countryside!
6th September 2013

Oh dear,we have been doing them and we were sure they were appearing OK as we check in the review before we publish. Will check it out.

Where is your family radiographer when you need her?
Good to hear an x ray was taken-wished I could have been there to do it! Hope you are well on the mend now Gretchen

Yes we did think it would have been more practice for you.A week on and you can hardy tell anything happened.Still a little sore on the side that I fell on but that is easing day by day.

Public toilet
There were enough people recording the event and our disgust was such that we were speechless and numbed by the experience. We didn't want to give him any more satisfaction than he was already getting. A facebook exposure would have gone viral, perhaps that was what he was hoping.

"Public" toilets
The male population of Poland know how to put the meaning of "public" into public toilets. The best example we saw was a young "gentleman" using a rubbish bin as a toilet receptacle less than 10 metres from the a very nice public toilet. Perhaps it was for the benefit of a bevvy of photographers who wanted to record the event as a momentous occasion on their road trip.
18th August 2013

Did think about recording this event as had enough time to get the camera and fir it up as he had a full tank to empty!
17th August 2013

fantastic scenery
Enjoying the alpine scenery...just wondering why the blog is consistently a week behind the action? I have visions of you sitting up each night before bed, like a great travel journalist, typing up the days adventures and posting them....
17th August 2013

Yes it is a problem that hopefully will catch up on as we spend longer in each place we aim to stop at in France.Loving France with warm fine weather, beautiful countryside and lovely small villages to potter around in.

What about a knotted hanky?
Just had an image of you with a knotted hanky on your head for sun protection Grahame...like the boy scouts say-always be prepared!
12th August 2013

What a great idea,if only.Unfortunately Gretchen got me out of having hankies a few years ago and tissues is all I am allowed these day.The tissue I had might have done the job had I thought about it at the time.A check later in the later in the day revealed no sunburn, thank goodness.

Nike swish
The tick starts on the right hand side, whether it covers the whole shirt or just a small swish on the right.
