Wow ... sounds divine and brings back images on the Gilis. So did Bob pass? If so, there's two keen divers here just dying to get back out to the coral so you'll always have some buddies!
Sitting at desk in London can't believe how quickly I've left SE Asia behind. All very surreal... enjoy, enjoy, enjoy while u can :-)
And do tell me more about beloved Indonesia and ur job when u can xxx
Yeah, its a tough one as many people think it's incredible. I think it sounds like it is better if you go in the morning but still, I honestly think you can see all you need to see from the river behind it (that's where I am in my profile photo). When you're on a budget, Indian tourist attractions seem extortionate at times, and the Taj ate into our budget far too much for what we got from it.
naa i think i would rather play with the squirrels then pay RS750!! i have the same issue...is it worth it....but after reading that i might take your advice and find my own indian magic!
Hi Kate, good to hear from you - I was wondering where in the world you'd got to...glad to hear you're heading east....just change direction to south east and you'll be with me in about 10 hours - we're very civilised over this part of the world! Keep having fun! xx
Takes me back! Hi Kate and Bob!
Am loving the the travelblog, so interesting and detailed! Imagine my surprise when a) you'd left Auroville, it sounds amazing b) You are in Bangkok and staying at the very hotel my ex and I stayed in 6 years ago on our trip!! You described it just as I remember - thanks for jolting my memory!
Keep safe and look forward to the next installment,
Fiona xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Kate, glad you're enjoying the high life for a bit and have escaped Auroville, that sounded a bit too stressful, oddly given what the place is supposed to be. Slightly surprised you're lapping up the video screens of Bangkok so much: I couldn't wait to get out of Bangkok when I arrived there; but then I arrived from England seeking escape from that, not from Auroville. Anyway hope the rest continues well x
you betcha Yup, Auroville is one big enterprise, and so full of syncronicity you'd love it Ant! but it is bonkers, and gets a bit too much in the heat!
Love the picture of the tree So there are enterprises down in Auraville. What made you decide to leave? Things are going steady at the Blahs, we are almost ready to make our new web site live, driven by our embarrasment of the existing one which we cannot wait to replace. Lots of love, ant
CONGRATULATIONS! Hi Sarah, how are you? I have got your email address now because you subscribed, so as soon as I can get my emails working I'll send you one! I'm just checking things briefly right now before getting on a long distance train, but it's great to hear from you! - and i'm pleased you've met bob - even if it's only virtual!
love kate xxx
Hey Kate/Watto Kate, Cath has just sent me your blog address and I have had a brilliant time looking through your photo's and reading your blog - I'm very jealous of the culture although I'm having a fab time in California its not quite the same!! I'm now married - Mrs Clover! I lost your email address so I'll work out how to contact you so that you can contact me directly! Keep on enjoying and taking those brilliant photo's and it's been nice meeting Bob via your blog too! Love Sarah xxxx
OOh thanks! Thanks Cath, yeah, I do love taking photos, I got myself a new camera just before we left the country and am just getting used to it, but it's sometimes really hard trying to decide which photos to leave out of the blog!
The pongala was my absolute highlight so far I think, it was fantastic to be around so many Indian women and so few Indian men! Really enlightening and enjoyable!
Lovely photos Hi Kate
I think the photos you've been taking are absolutely amazing - very professional looking, too. You seem to be having such wonderful experiences... hanging off trains!! What next?
Cath
I can believe it! Yeah, it's pretty magical when the sun heads in. A couple of nights ago it looked like there was going to be rain and the sun was deep red as it moved beyond the moody clouds! We were all excited that there would be some respite from the heat but it only amounted to a couple of drops of refreshing water!
Good I am pleased to hear everything has calmed down a bit now it sounds lovely. Hit and miss this traveling eh ? glad to hear Great photos too. keep in touch.
So jealous That's looks so stunning. I can't remember the last time i was on a hot sunny beach, so it's obviously been too long.
The pictures are amazing and the sun such an awe-inspiring colour.
You sound so much happier. Long may this continue.
Jx

Hi Cath Hi, great to hear from you! I can add you to my subscribers if you tell me to, I think there's some way of asking to do so, but I dont have your email address here so I cant respond directly. I hope you're all doing exciting things. It seems quite peculiar not being a part of the gang right now, but maybe I am, just a distant observer!
love to you all
