Great read That was a great summery of your trip. I enjoyed many days with you both in East Timor and it has been one of the hi lights of my 6 month trip. You forgot to write that you survived 1x car crash.

Great to have founded your travelblog, I would love to read all your stories!
Hope you both are doing very well, here in Leh everything is fine. Small Ingrid will have her stitches removed tomorrow and after that we'll take her to the village Matho, where her new life will start. Exciting!
Borneoleo Wow - looks like you're going to have heaps to see and do ! Poor Emma - Arie been laid low by some horrible cold flu thing as well. Keep having fun guys :-)
Looks amazingly unspoilt Wow - sounds really cool by which I mean really warm cos its really really cool brass monkeys here in wellie. Watching the UN sounds like fun but the locals sound more fun. Really glad you guys are enjoying it there. Like you thought it sounds like its about to become touristy and you're in before Macca's and starbucks shows up. Wibble

armchair travel Thanks for the vicarious thrills. I'll be interested to see how the tally goes. You need to work on your fresh-faced smile Marie - or maybe Emma needs to work on looking shifty?
Thanks Thanks for the blog. I found it very interesting, as I am about to embark on the journey to South America in November and we are planning to go to La Paz.

My song about Giron I went to Giron just about every other weekend of my life to the age of 15 years. Then it all changed. I was send to the United States and Giron was no longer in my life. Yet from my memories of this enchanting town I wrote a beautiful song that describes the town and the life to this day from what I can see in the pictures I try to view once in a while. ... Hi, I just read your blog about the Toro Toro trip you had, so I was wondering, after all the funny or unexpected experience (with the colorful sheep, the car, and the young guide Luis; would you recommend other travelers to go to this place?
sweet news from your blog i'm studying up for a trip to Lopez all the way from here in Quito. The news about the warm water and flip flops will help me pack efficiently.

Good to see you guys are still living it up. I giggled imagining the gritting of teeth over the panpipe and drum youth band. I'll think of you guys when I next complain it's cold here in Welly. It's been chucking it down with snow up Mt Ruapehu, so they're pretty cold too. Charlie says 'meow' to you. He's decided he doesn't like the fishy biscuits OR the oh so fishy meat, so we're exploring other possibilities...
This is our travel journal that anyone is welcome to read.
It doesn't get edited on the road and we travel technology free so have to use whatever computers and keyboards we find both good and bad. Typos, missing words and bad English are par for the course... full info
