Just like home.
Sounds like you two have fallen ln love with Hong Kong. Scott, you have always said that you fancied living/working there for a while, and I could see it happening one day. It sounds and looks amazing! You certainly are cramming in lots of things to do and see on your adventures. As you have said, Hong Kong seems like a piece of London, in Asia!! I am glad that you spent a good few days with a bit of Westernised comfort and food there, before the trials and tribulations that await you in China. Keep up the great blogs, stay safe, and carry on having a brill time. Till we hear from you again. All our love. Mum & Farsh xxx

See both sides
Hey you two, loving the blogs! You do write a lot, which is great for us all following you but must be quite hard work, but makes a great journal and keepsake for you both. So Hiroshima was the end of world war 2, not 1. Although empathy for the Japenese is there and war is always terrible, my grandfather was a prisoner of war of the Japenese during this war and I have read books about it and how they were treated, so you do see both sides and they were nasty f...kers! Likewise when I went to Germany in June, we only hear the British side of the war, but we blew the Germans to smithereens and devastated many of their cities, so I then appreciated their side a little more then too. At the end of the day it is not usually the humble man in the street that decides these wars but unfortunately they and their families have to suffer the consequences. So I heard today that you are loving Hong Kong, very jealous as that is very much on my bucket list to visit. So hoping you write loads and photo everything that moves! Lots of love to you both, enjoy and be safe! Amanda xxxx

Japanese toilets!
Ha, we encountered one of those heated seat Japanese toilet jobbies in Bangkok, neither of us had the nerve to press any of the buttons in case we got soaked with water or something (yes, it would be just our luck!). So did you take advantage of all the features? ;) Good blog, we can only imagine all the strange and uniquely Japanese things you encountered and with jet lag some of them probably seemed very, very bizarre! Looking forward to your next blog.

Donna and Neil thanks for your comment, yes the toilets here are bizarre like everything else, but yes we have used them and while I (Victoria) am not so keen Scott loves them!
