Laughing me head off! If looks could kill that tortoise would be someone's new ashtray! lmao..... sat at my desk at work and I can't stop laughing, thinking of Kylie the Tortoise in One Foot in the Grave..... Margaret: "Victor, have you seen Kylie anywhere?" - Victor: "Oh no, but I ate that lovely pie you left, the one with a gherkin at each corner" lmfao!!! xx
Boudicca! Scared of you Mel! haha. and I love your description of watching the footy in the bar.... lots of oooohhing and aaaarrring when someone got the ball and did something with it! hahahaha!! xx
Why is it? I find myself holding my breath while I read this, as if I am trying subconsciously to imagine how it feels at high altitude, except I am in Sunderland not the Andes! lol.... lots of the photos really look like scenes from old Westerns and the poor animal here looks awfully lonely :( was it a little llama? was it dinner? :-O ...... did make me chuckle when you started this page off with 'ate breakfast off the table' hahaha xx
Ha ha it probably was a llama as we saw them all in lots of places and actually Howard did have llama for dinner one night - the evil man lol
Keep enjoying the oxygen in Sunderland!!! X
I don't know..... you get the best seats on the tour bus, upstairs and right at the front and you twist you are sat in the sun and you're too hot! I'll swap places if you don't mind! lol xx
You are always in the right place at the right time.....first you are in Easter Island at Easter and then you are in Argentina when Maggie croaks it! incredible timing lol xx
oh, and Cordoba looks beautiful too!
Valparaiso I really like the look of this place. It's incredibly quirky. Love how higgledy piggledy everything looks, from the streets to the buildings. And some lovely views, nice! xx
Tanned! Good lord, how brown are you??? you look really tanned. When you described this place it reminded me of the pub in Alice Springs, quite bizarre! xx
I just knew..... As soon as you said Howard was told not to ride the scooter on unscooterable roads I knew what would happen..... the phrase "don't dare a fool" springs to mind! Give the bugger a challenge and he relishes in it! Glad you managed though, the island is beautiful and green and unspoilt and I bet you want a job in that library Mel!! ;) xxx
Hilarious! That's how you do it Mel!! pmsl..... brilliant photo, was this the first attempt? Howard would get a gold medal in the high jump hahahaha! xx
Yep this was the first attempt (skillfull photography im sure you'll agree lol), i couldnt believe it, the one of me looks like im still on the ground ha ha
Hi having spent almost 2 years travelling back in 2011 we are now about to set off again, just 11 weeks this time but still an adventure. Sadly due to health reasons the rucksacks have had to be retired, so let's see how we manage with a couple of little carry on suitcases.......... full info
