Arequipa - attack of the giant tortoise!

Laughing me head off!
If looks could kill that tortoise would be someone's new ashtray! lmao..... sat at my desk at work and I can't stop laughing, thinking of Kylie the Tortoise in One Foot in the Grave..... Margaret: "Victor, have you seen Kylie anywhere?" - Victor: "Oh no, but I ate that lovely pie you left, the one with a gherkin at each corner" lmfao!!! xx

4 Road to San Pedro de Atacama (10)

Why is it?
I find myself holding my breath while I read this, as if I am trying subconsciously to imagine how it feels at high altitude, except I am in Sunderland not the Andes! lol.... lots of the photos really look like scenes from old Westerns and the poor animal here looks awfully lonely :( was it a little llama? was it dinner? :-O ...... did make me chuckle when you started this page off with 'ate breakfast off the table' hahaha xx

Valparaiso
I really like the look of this place. It's incredibly quirky. Love how higgledy piggledy everything looks, from the streets to the buildings. And some lovely views, nice! xx

Good lord, how brown are you??? you look really tanned. When you described this place it reminded me of the pub in Alice Springs, quite bizarre! xx

As soon as you said Howard was told not to ride the scooter on unscooterable roads I knew what would happen..... the phrase "don't dare a fool" springs to mind! Give the bugger a challenge and he relishes in it! Glad you managed though, the island is beautiful and green and unspoilt and I bet you want a job in that library Mel!! ;) xxx
