Masai Sheperds You know, I'm not big on tipping--not b/c I'm cheap, but b/c I feel like why should I be made to pay the person waiting on me. Come on, I'm already paying for whatever service I'm getting. On the other hand, I wouldn't feel uneasy about contributing to the herdsmen's "new way of life" because tourists are the ones encroaching on their territiory. They should be the ones benefiting from all excursions taking place on their land. But that's just me...
I'm catching up on my blog reading. (Note to everyone: don't start from the bottom. You'll wonder what the heck she's talking about). Now that you're basically a pro at wheelin' and dealin', you'll have to be my tour guide when I go over there. Make this last week the best week ever. See you when you get back.

Great writing Hi Tara, I'm at work and was catching up on the lates in you blog. I think your writing is wonderful it's really not bad at all. I can't see it as your weak point. Too bad about your cell phone and shower slippers being stolen. It could have been worst. Also, be carefull with that street vendor. Try to go to the internet cafe with a friend, male if possible. I'll chat with your later and I'll be praying for you and rain!
Be careful Working at the hospital, I've seen all kinds injuried by these buses. Men, women, young and old have come through with various injuries from abrasions to amputations. So WALK defensely. You have to make it back home too!
This is a journal of my travels starting January 2006. I hope to see some of East Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, Australia before starting my ER residency July 2006. Ambitious I know, but I plan to roll 'til either my budget or my energy falls short. Hopefully, you'll check n with me regularly, as I plan to update this site often. Thanks, Tara.... full info
