Italia Take 3

The feeling of deja vu. My third trip to Italy in six years.

This time G and I have convinced a boy to join us. What a sucker. We now have a bag carrier, map reader, kitty balancer, cafe latte collector and all round tough guy to make the Italian men jealous. Although I'll be making it very clear Les is with G, not me. From now, we will refer to Les as The Help.

Poor guy. He's going to be rocking in a corner, sucking his thumb by the time we're home in October.

Another difference this time, mum and Irene will be travelling with me as far as Dubai, then they'll be shipped off to Ireland for three weeks drinking before joining me in Rome for detox.

We leave on 2 September. I think all are packed but me. I got my case out and I've had a hair cut. All on track.

Mid 30s in Rome this week so it's going to be lovely. Sunburn is calling me and my legs need to come out of their furry cover very soon.
