Having fun or what? I'ts always great to hear from you and see all those great pictures. Looks like you have a lot of nice friends. We have snow in Aspen. See you Xmas. Love Uncle Roby
Sounds good! Hamburg sounds like it's going well for you so far and I'm glad to hear it. The pictures are really pretty...hopefully I will be able to make it up to visit you guys at some point.
Glad you love it!!! Paige, i knew you'd like it. I actually miss Hamburg a lot myself and can't wait to go back on vacation next week. Maybe Mike and I go while you are still there. that would be fun!
Glad you liked it I am so glad you liked the Hotel Brack - it is the best little hotel 300m from Oktoberfest!- I can also agree that the rollercoaster can be a bad choice after schnapps and biers.
PS- I vote we make the dirndl the official outfit of all women- ;)
You look so sexy in your little dirndl! Ha! Maybe Keystone's Bluegrass and Beer Festival next year will rekindle some good memories at Octoberfest! Sounds like you had a blast!
FRANCE!!! Awwwww, Paige! I could have helped you with the French!!! (By the way you are going to be interpreting every panini on the menu for me in less than 3 months!) Je t'aime!
P.S. Antoine was so cute! =)
Looks like fun! Paige-
I'm enjoying the journal entries, and i'm glad that you had a little American weekend. It's starting to get cold in Colorado and the snow is starting to cover the peaks. James and I are enjoying the new place and I've been working a lot near Santa Fe. Keep up the good work.
too bad you aren't having any fun!! I love getting your journal entries and are so glad you are having so much fun as well as learning so much. I wish I could speak in German but adios and hasta la vista baby is about all I can do.
Love you
Aunt Susie
Hi Paige! Thanks for including me on your update list... I'm doing some of my own virtual couch-travelling, thanks to you and its great :) I love your stories and all the PICTURES! Hope the work (?) is good too.
my german travel guide :) Hi Paige, it's a lot of fun to read your blog. One day I think I'll take this as my travel guide and visit all the places you have been exploring and I haven't seen yet. I guess that's just the way it is when you are growing up in a country. the tourists usually see more than you do. Looking forward to read more of your adventures!
Koelsch in Hamburg Paige, I have good news for you: you don't have to miss out on Koelsch in Hamburg. just go here...http://www.koelsch-city.de/... it's a Koelsch bar downtown, just about 10 min via subway from your WG. But you should also try some of the local breweries in hamburg such as http://www.groeninger-hamburg.de/, this brewery exists since mid 1200 and is located in an original vaulted cellar... pretty cool... have a drink or two for me, I really miss the good old german beer :)
small world Paige - that's so funny that you ran into Scott - I just saw him the week before when he was in Dallas and he was saying his next trip would be Amsterdamn! On another small world note, my cousin Wade went to work for Mercer right out of college and was transferred to Doha - Scott picked him up from the airport and was his mentor! Scott used to be roomates with one of my best friends Elizabeth Watters (and Jay Evans) - SMALL WORLD I tell ya! Was the Heinken tour better than the Guiness Factory tour in Dublin? Miss you - love reading your stories! Oh - and FYI - Todd and I are back together :)
I've started a new blog at http://sweetcarolinepb.wordpress.com/! Check it out :)
You can find my Chile and Argentina blogs under "South American Adventures" and my other SA adventures in Peru and Ecuador in "South America 2.0"!
Also, please enjoy my past blogs in the "European Adventures" group! My year in Germany is still one of my favorite life experiences, and I treasure those memories.
