Greetings! Hi again, sounds like Christmas day was a bit of a non-event, but I imagine the 'bah humbugs' around the globe would be glad for that - all a matter of perspective! Good to hear the sunshine has arrived, a brilliant christmas present! Our Christmas was hectic, noisy, crazy, but in a lovely way, leaving us exhausted and aware of our age! As New Year approaches we will be seeing it in with some babysitting as usual, no doubt falling asleep by 10am cozied up on the sofa with a big glass of vino (love that about winter - it makes the dreadful weather bearable) only to be rudely awakened by the fireworks at midnight! Whatever you are doing we hope you have an enjoyable and memorable time, and wish you an abundance of good things, along with lots more sunshine, as you continue your travels in 2014. Stay safe. Love from us both M & K x
New Year Hi

Old man in shower Think I know what happened in that shower. The little old man , stark naked? That's what we call a mirror. Popular in the uk but don't think they have got to Aussie yet.
Just to congratulate you on your long and interesting adventures and to wish you Compliments of the Season and best wishes for the New Year and may you continue to enjoy life and keep safe.
Christmas tme Happy Christmas to you both.
We,re not on the beach but slightly inland. The day has started for us and looks like it will be very hot, for once !
Have a good time and see you soon, well next year !

chistmas is coming Hi you two.
Congratulations Steve. You we're beginning to sound like Captain Ahab chasing the elusive whale. Now you can get on with your travels in peace. Just put up the Christmas tree here and running about sorting out all those last minute things for the big day. To be honest ba humbug until and if we ever have grandchildren it all seems a bit tedious to me. Anyway where are you planning to be on the day? Somewhere special I trust. Wherever you are have a great day and we'll be thinking of you.
continued ! hi message shot off before I'd finished !
so try and have a good time, you need to change the format for the day ! hope to speak to you again soon.

Humbug ! Hi We're no where special for the day. Bairnsdale ? a place we'd never heard of but they would allow us to stay 3 days, most other sites wanted a 7 day booking which was too long in one place for us. We have booked a christmas lunch at the local RSL club, a kind of Brit Legion but very modern.

Seems you are not getting the best of Aussie summer, must be quite challenging having to stay in your van so much of the time - we\'d probably throttle each other, so are full of admiration for you! Very impressed that you managed to catch your dinner, was Chris attracting the birds with another meal in mind? Could self sufficiency be on the cards when you return, a nice bungalow, a little smallholding, the good life :) Looking very cute as Koalas! We\'ve had heaps of rain, but right now the sky is blue again and the sun is shining - lovely - who needs to be in Aus! Wishing you both a wonderful Christmas wherever you celebrate it, we\'ll raise our glasses a to you when we have our lovely dinner, we\'re really looking forward to the day with all the little ones around, it really brings back the Christmas magic. Love to you both from both of us xx
The Good life ! Hi
I don't think we'd survive if I had to do the hunter gatherer bit ! but it was a good catch.
Hope you have a great Christmas and we'll try and Skype you again soon

When do you get to Melbourne, Steve? Greetings Steve, trust all is well and that you are getting close to Melbourne, where Bern and I might be able to meet up with Chris and yourself. In fact we now look like having a spell in Melbourne (dog-sitting!!) between Christmas and New Year. Best wishes.

Meeting up Hi
It's really good to hear from you both. We hope you have a good Christmas. We are spending it in Bairnsdale and are then going to Wodonga for New Year.
We won't be in Melbourne until 13th January to hand over our camper van.
The closest we come to Bendigo will be just after New Year when we drive down the M31 into Melbourne and out again to Wilson Prom.
Any chance of meeting up near Seymour which looks the closest we get to you ?
My mobile is: 047421 3032 but it's not on that often. Email is best: christine45.dormer@gmail.com

Happy Christmas Hi Have a great day !
The weather here's not that good unfortunately. Now on the coast again it's often grey, cloudy and rainy !
Going to Wodonga for New Year where it's hot !
Happy Christmas Hope you have a great Christmas. Will you be having a barbie on the beach? We'll be sending you a toast along with our relatives in NZ on the day!
Loved the Xmas photos!
Xmas day Hi
Thanks for your good wishes. We've managed to book a traditional xmas lunch in a restaurant. The weather's not consistent enough to trust a BBQ !
Christmas Wishes All the best to you two for Christmas and the New Year. Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels. Lets catch up on Skype some time (send me your details etc).
Jane and I are having a quite one this year as Mark and Mandy are in Los Angeles and Mel and Steve are going to his parents. What are you having for Christmas dinner, Kangaroo and Crocodile burgers on the beach? Love Jeff and Jane. (P.S. Would'nt bank on a fish starter as they dont seem to be biting!!!)
Xmas dinner hi Thanks for your message, we don't get many anymore !
We have booked traditional xmas lunch at the RSL club in Bairnsdale, where we will be staying. A type of modern British legion. We saw the Country Girls in one in Noosa if you read that blog.
Our skype address is:stephen.dormer1. the best time to get us is any morning around 10am, your time. 9pm ours !
Have a great christmas

We are Steve & Chris. In 2013/2014 we travelled around the world and had a wonderful time. The nomadic existence suited us more than we could have imagined. So once back in the UK we soon got bored (well I did) and over the winter months planned another trip. Only 3 months this time to revisit Malaysia, the bits we missed last time and to explore the outback of Australia.
Only crocodiles, snakes and spiders to avoid !
