Halloween Loved the costume! And the antiques market...I would have loved to look for something for one of my son's who is into old weapon type stuff. It would have been great. And looks like you are friends with James!! I never did see him and wondered if he really existed!
Response to Brenda Hi Brenda, so looking forwards to a hug and a big visit and catch up. How is the building going? Sure do miss ya. Keep yourself well, 'k? Xoxoxox
Response to Doug Hey you lurker! LMAO! Glad you're enjoying the pix. I am already lamenting my return to a regular existence sans photos or particularly interesting storyline. Thanks for your feedback. I like getting it. :)
Boo hoo Boo hoo because I missed the festivities. Would have loved to have seen all the kids dressed up too. Of course, being stranded at the end of the night was really a bummer for you all.
But I'm glad you had such fun, Carolyn, being the ''pink angel'. sort of suits you, anyway. :) Joyce
Great Stories Great photos Carolyn. I continue to be amazed at the cultural differences and can only imagine some of the scenarios you have experienced. Your description of the drivers there is very reminiscent of our experiences throughout our travels in South America. If there were any seat belts, they were only for the driver and street signs were for decoration only. But just think of the stories you will have to share. LOL Just don't let your guard down.
Response to Deb...bff Oh, my bff, how I miss you, you 'n' me, me 'n' you, the balcony, hot yoga with you and esp. laughing with you! Can't wait to see you and all those I love again soon! Mwah. Be well. Try not to miss me TOO, too much! LOL xoxxxo CHY
Like!! Somehow had missed this blog. I liked hearing your laugh, even if it was at yourself after the wipe out! lmao. Thanks for the video footage from the mountain top! Lovely...I'd be climbing up there often, if I was there! :)
Xoxoxoxo C
What a great story - I laughed out loud! I believe I was there in spirit. Cause I could almost taste that Whopper - not to mention the Hog n daws!! I hope all is well in China - think of you often and miss you.
Response to Barb Hello Barb. So nice to get your mail! Yes, I know you can relate if you've been here. I will be so happy to fill you in about my travels when I return and it is definately possible for you to do something like this with your husband in tow. Enjoy the fall in THompson, it is fleeting and I miss the beautiful colours and smells. Carolyn
Response to Dawna Dawna, miss you! Yes, met James. He's elusive no more. LOL I don't remember your Chinese name, but I am sure I could get someone to write it out for me and I can send it home to you! I LLOOOVVVEEE the tea set! LOL I am glad we have a month left. The homesickness is coming fast and furious. Be well. We think of you each day. xo CH
You finally met the elusive James!! Great. Sounds like you had a fun time - time is going quickly. Do you happen to remember my Chinese name. I forget but would like to make a note of it. Thanks. The tea set is stunning!
Pizza Hut Your trip sounds wonderful Carolyn. I know what you mean about the pizza. Ashley, Alysa and I were very happy to have pizza one day on our trip to China last summer. How long are you there for? I hope to do something like this one day but I am too chicken to go alone so I am hopping Bob comes with me. I enjoy reading your blog. Take Care and hope to here about your travels when you get back.
