WOW Wow Sam!! You must be having the time of your life. Australia to New Zealand.... Orcas.... where to next? I am very happy for you. Your photos are absolutely beautiful I can only imagine how awesome the sights must be to see in person. I need to check out your blog more often to see where you are off to next. We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Mellisa
Hi Kila, sorry it has taken me so long to respond, I haven't been able to check the blog as often as I would like lately. Email me about the picture (sjh42188@aim.com) and I can tell you what you would like to know. Thanks, Sam
Hi Candy! That must have been quite a view :) Did you happen to get any pictures? Also, if you ever see orca again, please call Ingrid at 0800 SEE ORCA, that way we can come up, get out with the animals and do a bit of research to figure out who it is and what they are doing! Thanks so much, Sam.

Glad to hear Stan. All I can say to your daughter is to get her feet wet as soon as possible. It's a hard field to get into and you have to really love what you do, but if she tries her hardest she can go far. Try and get her to do internships early in fields she is interested in to get her more experience and to let her get a feel for the work and see if she really likes it. Field work isn't for everyone and can be extremely boring and frustrating after 10 hours on the water without seeing something or getting a sample. Good luck to your daughter :)
Thanks gramps :) Of course I wasn't thumbing my nose at you, I was give the ok sign! Can't give the thumbs up underwater or that means something is wrong, got to the surface. I tried to get close to the grouper but couldn't maybe next time!
Your Mom - My Daughter Samantha,
I work with your Mom and she told me about you, what you're involved in and your blog. Congratulations! My daughter, Sadie, is getting ready to start her freshman year at UNC Wilmington in Marine Biology and I thought it would be great for her to follow your exploits to learn a little about what she intends to do. Any advise ever would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to share this with her tonight.
Good luck and be well!
Stan

Thanks Jan! Yeah, it's very rarely that I can talk with people because of the 14 hours time difference, it was great talking to ya! I am getting better at driving the truck and trailer, it doesn't help that the truck is right hand drive! Hahah, oh well, its getting easier :) Glad you are enjoying the blog! Talk to you soon

Off on a great adventure! So this summer I got myself a lovely job in AUSTRALIA. Yeah, I am kinda pumped :) After graduating on May 23rd, I spent just a week at home and then flew out to the Southern Hemisphere. If you have been following this blog then you know of my adventures in Queensland working with Snubfin and Humpback dolphins. As that job has come to an end I have since arrived in Whangarei, New Zealand to work at an Orca Research center. I try and update my blog once a week or so with stories and pictures of what I have been up to. Hope you enjoy!
