Traveling - It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home, family and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things.
What you’ve done becomes the judge of what you’re going to do – especially in other people’s minds. When you’re traveling, you are what you are right there and then. People don’t have your past to hold against you.
It demonstrates that all people, no matter where they're from, cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends

“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson I finally made it to the pyramids!! I felt like it was such an accomplishment to finally make it to the place where I've always dreamed of going. When I first arrived a little bedouin man came and brought me a bottle of orange pop. I was so excited to see the pyramids that i missed my mouth and spilled the pop down my shirt. The little man thought that was the funniest thing ever, he was so cute. The pyramids are HUGE. I love it here Sharm is amazingly beautiful. The Red Sea is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom now matter how far out you are. Its crazy to come from Cairo where everyone is extremely religious and covered from head to toe , to Sharm el Sheikh, where there are topless Europeans scattering the beaches and short-shorts and mini skirts wandering the streets. Quading in the desert was amazing. There is a part of the desert where everything echos for miles and everyone was shouting out eachothers names. They all died laughing when Tito told them my name was Shib Shib (slippers in arabic) we then had a bbq in tents under the star filled sky in the middle of the desert, it was by far the best food i've ... read more

So far it has been very chaotic. I asked Abdo how far it is from the Airport to the hotel and he told me about 20 minutes. The reason I was asking this is because I had to pee, but the airport was insanely busy so I thought I could definitely wait to get to the hotel. Anyways... 3 HOURS LATER.... STUCK IN TRAFFIC ON A BRIDGE IN THE MIDDLE OF CAIRO RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. There is no where to go... we are trapped and I am about to pee my pants. I tried crying, in hopes of converting some of ... read more
