Arrived in Lucerne after a beautiful train trip from Milan, through the Italian and Swiss countryside. Day 1- Lucerne is an amazing gorgeous little town, scenes of postcards. An overcast day but walked my feet off and saw the Kappelbrucke, Lion monument, Old Town, the shops and the lake and river. Day 2- woke up to pouring rain and had a trip to Mt Pilatus booked, waited around in morning and it cleared up a little. At lunch time caught the 90 minute ferry from Lucerne to Apnalcoch, then caught the world's steepest Cog railway up to the top of Mt Pilatus which was 2132m high. Beautiful views on the way up however it was very foggy right at the top. Spent some time walking and climbing up and down steps. Very enjoyable. Then caught the
