It was another wonderful Tuesday at Hannah's Nursery school. We all look so forward to seeing their little smiling faces, feeling their warm embraces and being greeted with genuine love and excitement for just being alive and having fun learning in school. These children are a highlight to our week. I'm seeing a few changes that are beginning to take over as the teachers are learning the truth and becoming new Christians themselves. They are daily beginning and ending in prayer now thanking God for each of you who are supporting them to get and education, for the beautiful day in which to live, and for the school itself that they have to learn in, they are singing songs about Jesus, and each child is learning about the love of Christ, they are happier than ... read more

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us." Romans 8:18 As I look back over all these blogs, I got to noticing that we are always giving you the "good news" and the "good picture" of what life is like in the mission field, which is 90% of what we encounter day to day. It's also what shares the smiles and the stories of what we face and experience while we are here. But to be fair, to be honest, there are bad days, even bad weeks sometimes as well and you wouldn't fully understand the whole picture if we didn't share those with you too. Living in a foreign country brings forth a host of different obstacles, from ... read more

I Wanted to share some pictures with you, from this last week! There seems to be so much going on right now that its hard to just do a weekly report and be able to even just skim the surface with the highlights. Last Tuesday we went to the Nursery school with the Rachels family so that they could say their goodbyes to the children and teachers, and here just a week later it seems like so much more time has passed than just a week. The teachers had prepared a Thank you celebration and lined the kids up outside to sing us some songs and had selected children to present us with special gifts. This is a emotion that can not be described.. Teresa & I both just tried to breathe as we watched ... read more

It's sometimes so hard to write and get everything covered that happens here in a week's time. This weekend in particular has been incredibly busy and like wise incredibly AMAZING! Friday we finished out the initial week of working with the children at the Nursery school, and I got busy on trying to raise the funds for their school fees... After sitting down and creating that last blog I prayed long and hard that somehow, some way that the needs would be met be the end of the month, and God had other plans in mind. By the end of the day I had 8 emails with loving and kind Christians who were wanting to help however they could... The next day there were 5 more....Every time I logged on as a matter of fact ... read more

From time to time we are asked over to have dinner in homes of our Tanzanian Brethren and we love sharing this time of fun and family fellowship. A normal meal will consist of beans, rice, chapati, and some form of vegtables... greens or a mixture of other foods together... This week with the Rachels being here we had all been invited over to two different homes. The home of Josphpat & Anna Massawe and their 3 children and Elijah & Mama Judy's home with their 3 children as well, which is the house behind John Hall's home. Each one of the families were very gracious and hospitable in feeding our large families and its such a humbling and honorable experience to know what they have sacrificed in order to have you in their homes. ... read more

This week we've been working out at Hannah's Nursery School in Boma Ngombe. There is a very sweet and unique story behind this little school in this small rural village of Tanzania. I was amazed and so impressed with one of our local brethren, someone who we already knew was an amazing asset to the church, someone who is already doing so much in the way of evangelism and helping others on his own, someone who translates for us all to be able to follow along in worship in wonderful English, someone who translates for so many guests who come over and teach Bible studies of their own during campaign times and then to learn about the dedication and love that this 25 year old single Tanzanian man has for children has been such a ... read more

Life after the campaign seems to whirlwind down back into somewhat of a normal routine pretty quickly. You breath step forward and move on. There have been follow up studies going on all over the city and people continuing to bring in their completed correspondence lessons to move on to the next level of study. The next school quarter for the Bible Students is back in full swing. Brent will be teaching two different classes at the Andrew Connally School of Preaching in Kisongo on Mondays & Fridays he has Daniel and Ezekiel and then he is also teaching the first class for the ACSOP students on Marriage and Family so he will be quite busy this quarter. The Rachels family has arrived here in TZ and are staying at the house here with us ... read more
