Parvoti beach huts Hi Both,
We were staying in the beach hut opposite you on Patnem beach. Can you remember a scouser and a Derby man?
Excellent travel diary. Check our travel page out on virtual tourist under Jalapeeno's travel map.
Thanks for Travelblogs! Just (!?) received your final Travelblog, Nearly over. Like all the others, very well written, and giving us all such a good idea of the fantastic experience you have both had. Thank you for all the time and trouble you have taken in writing them, and looking forward to seeing more photos!
Wonderful memories! Hello Ruth, hello Nathan. Your diaries have been great. Perhaps you should continue your journey for a little longer so we can all keep on sharing your experiences when reading your journals. A great read and we are all enjoying it very much. It's like going on holiday without paying for it. Well done! You certainly will have great memories. Even the uncomfortable ones will probably make you smile. Ruth, we salute your fortitude in dealing with the bugs. Champion! Sharing your romantic beach holiday with all those bugs must have been a real paradox. We are releived for you that Nathan managed to stay awake to deal with the stubborn cockroach who wanted to share the mosquito net with you both. I guess that you may not get this message before you leave Delhi for the UK, but hope you were able to relax during your week in Goa (apart from your evening with the bugs that shared the the roof space in your coconut hut of course) and you have been able to recollect all you experiences and wonderful memories. Have a good trip back to the UK via Delhi. Stay safe and take great care of yourselves. Love to you both x
Coming to an end....................................... Hey - really enjoying reading your blogs, cant wait for the next one. Is it this Tuesday you are back? Poles finish today, all looks v nice inside pleased with the result, hope the pain does not start peeling off after they are long gone with our cash.
hey ho, better go and find something else to pack...
Helenx
Catch Up Hey there nay and ruthy baby! Really miss you guys but not wishing the time away as I know it goes fast when your having fun. Very envious of your trip and looking forward to seeing the dvd release of your time there. All is good here with me. Works going well and got some cool projects in. Getting preped for our skiing hols for new year is taking all of my attention. there are only so many times you can go into the ski shop and look at the same snowboard and bindings before you look a bit stupid....not there yet...averaging 3-4 times a week at the moment. Will have to take the plunge soon and buy one. Hanne is good as well and also very excited about christmas and new year. off down to east dean tonight and going to hang out down there for the weekend. its been ages since we have spent much time there so really looking forward to it. Like seeing the pics of your travels so keep putting them up. cant wait to see you both..enjoy the rest of your trip..luv ya.x
ps make sure you get to see Bond soon..saw it last night and loved it...awsome awsome film in its own right....going to try and get mum and dad to go this weekend I think!x
Green Street Stop making me jealous dudes!! I must confess - just got round to reading your blogs today I’ve been sitting here in my office with the rain beating down outside and then you have to come along with your travelling adventures and t-shirts... I hate you guys!! But now I’m hooked - so next instalment please. You have given me itchy feet for India now - they do a five-foot family Dosa in a south Indian restaurant near where I work so two of us are pigging out for lunch later cant let you have all the fun ;-)
Good to hear from you both! I hope that I haven't duplicated this message as I was half through one earlier which diasppeared after I pressed the wrong button. So apologies if I cause any confusion.
Love the photo of you on the camel Ruth but your lovely smile did'nt convince us that you were really enjoying the experience and felt totally comfortable about your decision to go for a ride on a camel. Sorry to hear about your tummy upsets but I suppose when you take off for four weeks on an exotic adventure such as this, you probably have to expect a little rumble in the jungle when testing out those taste buds on the local cuisine. Glad to hear that you were able to continue enjoying the occasional Kingfisher.
Your experiences on the roads seem really 'hairy'. Not sure about the Zebra Crossings though, or is it that you kept seeing lots of zebras crossing?
Your brief accounts are really interesting as usual and can't wait to see more.
Take great care of yourselves. Love to you both.
lovely to keep getting these blogs of yours, atul enjoying them too.we are getting v stressed re move but polish chaps back and working at an incredible pace! they keep offering to do extra jobs for us which is rather handy for us DIY virgins. communication a little difficult as the dont speak english. yesterday they informed us we had ' mickey mouse' and showed us two mars bars which had been eaten away by mice.... oh dear.
Thanks :) Hi Esther,
Thank you for sorting checking the car and house. We really apprecitate it. Hope things are working out in the flat. We are looking forward to getting back and you being around! Cool!
Are you going to Blackheath's bonfire night? It's awesome.
Your chance will come travelling. It is a fabulous experience. I think it took Ruth and myself about 10 days to really get into it. So the longer the better! The culture, the very nature of constantly being on the move, the food....everything is great!
Dude! I've been back for a couple of days now. Thanks to jetlag+dodgy stomache, I'm awake at 4:20AM checking out your blog. Wow. It looks like an incredible place. Your home looks very swish. I can relate to some of the insane driving skillz of the locals, it's the same in the Philippines - go forward, press horn, overtake, press horn again for good measure. Tip: close your eyes and pray, it works wonders. Hey, at least you haven't had a motorbike ride with 4 people sitting on the bike - I have. Anyway, it's good to see you're enjoying the curry. Take care of yourselves and enjoy the rest of the hols.
PS, got your last voicemail - yep, I've tried R6. Not bad, not bad. Seen some GOW vids - it looks stunning. 8 more days!
Hey you guys Glad to hear your having a great time - im sooooooo jealous reading your journal as i sit at my desk day after day blah blah blah............ Anyway, your flat is fine, checked it the other day and your car is also fine. Cant believe you've been away for over a week already - its flying by - Hither Green misses you guys and so do I! Maz went off to Thailand last week - have you heard from her on MSN? So jealous of you travelling people - think it just has to be done at least one time in a life time. Had mental and messy weekend once again in West End, looking forward to yet another this weekend! Oh and Dad has to forward your journals onto me - why you not sending me them???????????????????????????????????????
Great to have your blog on our return from sunny Bournemouth (it really is warm until the sun goes down!)Could have warned you about the Khajuraho sculptures - I've seen them in books - they are definitely unique!!! You don't see stuff like this in the West!
Great to hear from you! This is a real treat to keep track of your far away footsteps as you begin your Indian adventures. Keep the diary coming, its a great read!
nothing better to do you must be thinking she's not got anything better to do but write on your travel blog, but really my life is a whirlwind of nappies, naps, feeding and laundry. Sounds like you are having a fab time, am still feeling v envious , but we prob will not go to see the mother in law in jan as alex a bit small :(, so atul looking at holidays last night to destinations easier with a baby. Sunny autumn day today, unfortunately could not make the most of the extra hour now clocks back as babies don't understand the concept of british summertime vs greenwich meantime. both the boys having their morning naps at the moment ( 10am). i am going to try out some paints at the house. the Polish chaps have moved in and started work. saw a fab sofa in JL yesterday, also need a bed ordered asap as got to be moved in by 23rd nov, time is marching on. TTFN. Hx
great you've arrived, felt rather envious when i read your blog wish i was on an exotic far flung holiday instead of choosing paint and buying fridges in suburbia. Alexander slept from 8.30pm till 4am this morning probably a fluke but i live in hope.... hmmm i fancy some idli, might ask Atul to take us out for an indian tonite. Hxxx
