It's been more than 6 months since I've written my last blog and I want to apologize for being so terrible in keeping everyone up-to-date. Although I have been keeping notes and personal journals in order to write complete entries in the future I decided to write one at the moment as well. As most people may already know, my schooling experience at Yonsei University, South Korea has ended. It was a great experience and like most great experiences, are not realized to be great until they are already passed. It isn't necessarily the education which made this experience so special, but the people and the feeling of growth through times both good and bad. I guess travel really does educate a person, and although a year may not feel to be so long, a lot ... read more

Hello everyone! I know it has been a long time since I've updated my journal about my time in Korea. Lately life has been a little hectic and difficult to find time to sit down and type out everything about what has been happening. I will try and write more and shorter entries so everyone can keep up. I've been doing a lousy job of that lately but I promise to improve on it. Let me know what you think. I hope everyone is doing fine and is enjoying their lives. Out of the Game The past few days have been very slow. As most of you already know, I had surgery a few days ago for a condition that recurred during past few months due to straining of my abdomen most likely from breakdancing. I ... read more

Hello again everyone! Before I start this blog I want thank everyone for sending me messages. It's pretty cool to see what you all are thinking and it's nice to know people are keeping up with what I'm doing. Hope everyone is doing well. Jining I must say, my time in Jining was very different from last summer. Although I saw many of the same people, it was as though they treated me even more as a member of their family. Ranran's mom (a yi - aunt) and dad (shushu - uncle) took very good care of me. I had forgotten what hunger felt like. Every lunch and dinner there was endless food that I could never finish! We really need to import REAL Chinese food to America. Inner Mongolia is known for it's mutton and ... read more

Hello everyone! Today I start my blog away from home. I'm sorry I have not been in contact since I left, but in China many websites are censored by the government, such as facebook and youtube, and I also don't have phone. I hope you all are doing well and are having a good time back in the States. Anyways, this has been my journey thus far: Shanghai On August 4th, after the 18 hour trip from Los Angeles to Shanghai, I arrived at the hostel in which I stayed a year ago on the way back home. During my stay here I hung out with my roommate, a Chinese guy named Zhang Xiang Lu. We are the same age so we got along very well. He went with me to many places in this huge ... read more
