Late Summer 2011--Canadian Rockies to home (Trip Part 3)

This is the third part of our summer 2011 trip to Alaska. With the weather so extremely hot in the central US, we decided to stay north a few more weeks and avoid the higher temperatures.

This part starts with our days in the Canadian Rockies, then down into Glacier National Park, across Montana, into North Dakota where we visited the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota, and then headed home through Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Kentucky.

We saw more wild animals in this part of the trip than we did in Alaska, and we were really glad that we visited the Canadian Rockies after our trip to Alaska. We think we would have been disappointed if we had gone the other way.

We managed to avoid the extreme heat fairly well and got home to the wonders of air conditioning.
