Magic Stuff As Usual
But where do you get the time to write it???

Re:
Lyns Lucca is wonderful! Would highly recommend it when you visit next :) xx
11th May 2010

Wow. Certainly sounds like Lucca is a big hit. I've read about it in a book "Vroom with a view", but I thought the author was probably exaggerating a little. Maybe not!

Re:
Hey Rom, glad you are enjoying it! Trying to write as we go, but it doesn't always happen... :)

I have not followed traveller friends via travel blogs before. It is very exciting! Stay safe guys - love and hugs from Kirsten, Jared and moi xxx

Re: Burgers
Hey Keith, fourth stomach is better than third stomach...dont you think? rode 20km today, so should keep the waddling at bay for now at least :) hope all is well in qld. x

Burgers
Well done Ren. Cow's Fourth Stomach Burger sounds much more appealing than Tripe Burger. Yum. However I'm hoping that the last entry of this wonderful blog won't be: "As we waddled up the narrow, ancient stairs, we were stopped in our tracks by our fellow culinary tourists waddling down, and just couldn't get past". Wonderful stuff. Keep it up, if possible. But don't spoil your trip in the process.

Re:
Thanks Robbo and Ali. Ah! yes, could have been chestnut...if he wasn't so comic he could have won the prize for greasiest-sleaziest-pony-tailed-guy ever...plus he made brilliant coffee! Take care and give Noah a hug from us. xx

Re: didn’t feel like anything too intensive
KD - yes we were a bit manic on the first few days, and the multiple espressos didn't help either. found David easily...he lived 5 minutes from our hotel...plus andrew's map reading skills are brilliant! :)

apologies not necessary
Keep the long blogs coming....I'm enjoying reading them.
6th May 2010

Great reading guys - keep it up - no tv reception on boat so it is great to "travel through your eyes and feet". As for the pastries - I would imagine from your description andrew that the unknown pastry with apple and chocolate would have had to be chestnut from his sign language. Keep safe, have fun and wash your socks! Robbo and Ali xo

didn’t feel like anything too intensive
Ha!!!! Nothing like a good rest after a long flight! Very, very entertaining and contrasting stories. Probably hysterical fatigue... Can't wait to find out how hard it is to find Michaelangelo's David in Florence on your own. It was ridiculously difficult years ago!

Re: KIDS!!!
Hi Rom, as much as the mother was to blame, I did feel quite sorry for her. We both slept through a very loud greek dance party next door to our hotel in Florence last night...it certainly is a valuable skill to have when travelling. Love to the munchkins... xx

Re: Flying On Gochujang
Hey KD, Mongolia is definitely on the cards soon, and will be going in summer so will check out bbq options and report back :)
4th May 2010

KIDS!!!
The mother of the kid should pay all passengers on that flight compensation. As for the child - well I will by-pass court an be thrown in jail for my suggestion...so lets not go there. Don't know about you Andrew but I do know that my dear sister has no problems when it comes to the act of sleeping! However, next time you must insist on moving to First class. xxx

Flying On Gochujang
You do make Mongolia sound interesting. In summer though. I wonder if they actually have Mongolian BBQ's in Mongolia? I hear what you're saying about the kid. Sounds like it's replaced Oz Rugby teams as the main menace of flying. Good luck on the ground!

Re: FOOD!
Hey Rom! Yey, very excited by that suggestion, we should soo plan a trip soon!! By the way, saw a dodgy 'I love Roma' tshirt with the 'a' kinda falling off... you want? :) xx

FOOD!
I am putting in my bid for being a great travel partner - I could offer you a shouldesr for your nap Cucks and eat half your dinner quite easily. Andrew, you and I are too similar and will not make great travel buddies as I love my food and will not share! Guys, I am really pleased the first leg of your trip has been a relaxing one. I am sure the main part of it in Italy will be even better. Look forward to seeing the pictures on fb. Love and hugs - Rom

Re: On Korean Food
KD - gochujang rules! love the stuff. Wish we had been able to have more Korean bbq, but ran out of meals :)

On Korean Food
Jono would only ever let my delicate constitution have bulgogi ("No. 8") or the seafood combo thing ("No. 15"), but I suppose that if you get a choice about how much gochujang to use, the bibimbap could be worth a try. Just don't put too much on your gelato!

Hey Kathryn...so happy to be travelling again, and knowing you it wont be long at all before you travel again!! :)

Re: Have fun!
Thanks Rom! Free wi-fi has been fabulous so far. Will look for a suitably cheesy postcard for you. x
2nd May 2010

Hey Robbo and Ali, thanks for your thoughts! Hope all is well on the boat...here's wishing for calm seas. :)
