Not feeling the best today for my flight out of London to New York, it takes around 8 hours lets hope it goes quick...........Had to pack up my suitcases again, not getting used to this whole packing & unpacking business but it has been so worth it. Walked down the road to get breakfast, egg & bacon roll, coffee & water. Packed up the rental car & then headed out to see Jase's Aunt & Uncle, they were looking after Will for the day & night. They were really friendly, Don & Penny, had a light lunch then got back in the car & drove to Heathrow Airport. Jase took me for a long walk around Greenwich, very beautiful suburb. Walked through the park up to the Greenwich Observatory where Greenwich Mean Time exists. Got back to our cottage & got ready to have a full day of sight seeing in London. Tool the river boat called Merica up on the River Thames, went past some very historical buildings, pubs & land marks which dated back centuries. Came up alongside the Tower Brigdge leading to the Tower of London, walked around the outside of the moats where 100's of people were taking in the tour. We purchased tickets on the Original Tour Bus for the day, this took us to Trafalgar Square....beautiful statues & fountains, great place. Day trip to Edinburgh Castle, Jase & I took the train to Edinburgh, this was a two & half hour journey through the most spectacular countryside you will ever see, just breathtaking. Arrived in Edinburgh around 12.30pm, right on lunchtime, walked up to a restaurant called Le Mondes. Had a great meal.....little won tons of Haggis with a whisky dipping sauce & spring rolls for entree, lovely. For the main I had Cannon Lamb & Mash, while Jase choose Bangers, Mash with Carmalised Onions, it was one of the best meals I have while I have been away.........very tasty. Time to head out & catch the Edinburgh tour bus, which took us all around the city,this place is spectacular, all the little alley ways & cobblestones streets just amazing. Got out of bed around 9.30am, very,very tired got around 2 hours sleep.......had to pack bags for our flight tonight out of Paris. We went & had brekkie & then caught the Metro underground train to the Eiffel Tower. Arrived at the Tower & the line up was massive, may be a 2 hour wait or more. Becc & I were in the line & a tour guide, named Sammy came up & said out loud that he had 5 more tickets to give out to an organised tour who did not have to wait to get up to the second floor. Well I heard him & said yes we will take two tickets, so we did not have to wait, got up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower within ten minutes......just our lucky ... read more

Woke around 4.00am, very tired but far too excited to sleep. Caught the 6.30am flight from Aberdeen to Paris, arrived around 9.30am, how good is that you get on a flight & within 2 hours you are in a totally different country....liking this very much. Got to bag collection & you know what my suitcase got lost.....what is with that........thought this cannot be happening to me.Went to information & gave them all my details, all I had to do was wait for it to arrive at our hotel. I was told that I could buy essentials with a 100 Euro allowance for the inconvenience that the airline put me through, so this was good. Shopping in Paris on the airlines money, nice work.
