Time to pack up suitcases & catrch a flight back to Australia. Arrived at the ariport & went up to the lounge for breakfast. Well hooray, eventually a lounge that serves up Vegemite. This has been the only thing that I have missed, having vegemite on toast........ Becc & I went & did some Duty Free shopping before we boarded the plane. Left Honolulu around 10.50am, for a 10 hour flight back to Sydney. I was suppose to stay in Sydney for 3 nights but changed my itinerary. Missing home & the girls so I am flying back into Adelaide with Jase, Becc & Will. We got back into Adelaide at 10.30pm Monday the 10th of August, we lose a day during our flight. I have only told my 2 sisters & my best friend Beauy, ... read more

Woke around 5.00am got up & went for a walk, met Jase down on the street. We walked along the beach, it was magical to be out this early, very pleasant. After our walk went back to the room got our bathers on & headed down to the beach with Will. Swam in the ocean, very crisp & cool, stayed in for over an hour in the water, this was terrific fun. The water is crystal blue & clear, nice to be swimming & soaking up the life in Honolulu. After my swim went shopping again.......more t-shirts for the girls, clothes for me & I had to buy yet another suitcase for all my excess luggage. I got charged excess flying from San Fran to Honolulu so brought another case. Jase & Becc could place this ... read more

Had to wake at 5.00am, oh not well had around four hours sleep. Feeling really ill, but got up & packed bags again & caught a flight out of San Fran to Honlulu around 9.00am. The flight took 5 hours, it went quite quick which was good considering the way I was feeling. Arrived at lunchtime, yea it was hot, very hot, sunshine & blue skies. This is going to be great to get a suntan in the middle of our winter. We were staying at the Hyatt in Waikiki Beach Resort. This was a 5 star resort with all the perks, what a fantastic room we had & a balcony overlooking the beachfront. No need to go anywhere but to the poolside. Becc & I got inot our bathers & headed straight to the pool. ... read more

Went to a really nice quiet restaurant for breakfast, had eggs, crispy bacon & real toast fro a change.......now this breakfast was delicious. Walked down to catch the trolley cart to Pier 43, got off & then caught a bus up to Lombard Street. We were going to see the most Crockiest Street in the World. To get up the hill we had to walk & yes the hill was very steep. It felt like 90 degress, tough going, my calves & thighs were burning by the time we got to the top. What a quirky little street, windy & crooked for around 50 metres long, it was very steep & beautiful with green hedges & lovely flowers in full bloom, very pretty. Got to the bottom of the hill & this was terrific, had a ... read more

I have no idea why I woke up at 5.00am but I did....it is what it is...right Jase!!!! Today was the day we go bike riding along the Golden Gate Bridge, this is going to be a big day. Stepped out of our hotel around 8.00, walked down to another little Diner called Max's & had breakfast it was good. Nice to have crispy bacon & eggs, but not so nice to get served up potatoes again, left these to the side, over the whole have fried up potatoes for breakfast. Walked down to catch a Trolley Cart which would take us to Pier 39, where we would grab the bikes for the day & ride along the wharves. The bike company's name was Blazing Saddles, very well ran company. Got on the bikes & progressed ... read more

Woke very yet again & Becc not so good, had a bite to eat & then took a taxi down to the South Seaport Dock. We were catching a Water taxi for a tour along the Hudson River. This took us up the river & to the Statue of Liberty. the tour was refreshing & entertaining. Got some terrific photos of the Statue, an outstanding 45 minutes on the Hudson. Next stop Ground Zero worksite where 9/11 happened, this is a massive area of construction where they are rebuilding the twin towers. They have not named these buildings yet but they will become another icon of the city. Later that day I purchased a ticket on a helicopter to tkae me for a ride around Manhattan. Breathtaking views of the city, very exciting & it was ... read more

Woke up to the rain on our windows & it looked like a miserable day in New York. Beccc & I decided we needed to do some exercise so got our runners on & walked in the drizzily rain to Central Park. What an invigorating run we had in Central Park in the rain, this certainly woke me up. Ran down to the Jackie Kennedy Reservoir & then stopped & walked back up 5th Avenue, by this time it had started to pour. Becc & I arrived back at the hotel looking like drowned rats, every piece of clothing was drenched. Had a long hot shower & got ready for the day ahead. Went to a Diner across the road called "Stardust". Walked in & it felt like I was in the TV show Happy Days, ... read more

Woke up quite late as we only got ot our room around 2.00am, very late. Got dressed for a day of adventure around New York. Went for a walk along Broadway,so many shops & people, well its manic. Brought a ticket on the City Sights Tour Bus, caught it & sat upstairs. The weather here today is around 24 degrees & muggy. The bus tour was terrific went around Times Square, through Greenwich Village, Little Italy, China Town & Soho, then back to Times Square. The whole Broadway street was closed to market stalls, which were kind of cool. Had a cornfritter with melted cheese & helped Will with his delicious chocolate crepe, now this was very yummy. Went shopping for the usual gifts, the I luv New York shirts. Brought all the girls one each, ... read more
