That's It!!!! It's over Thankyou so much for the blog. Pat and I have loved following it and together with Sam's emails and pictures have really not been left out! Pick up Bruce and Robert wed so they will have to come back down to earth with galeforce winds and colder weather than what you have been used to. The photos certainly show some beautiful places and you have all been spoilt. And the skyping that was interesting!

What a life! I've enjoyed reading about your sailing. I learned to sail at Lake Chiemsee in 1987, but haven't sailed since. I was hoping to relearn by join a flotilla in the Aegean, but plans fell through after I took the family boating in the U.S. Virgin Islands. A hurricane was about 300 miles away, so it got pretty choppy. My wife said NEVER again! We did enjoy a visit to New Zealand last fall, so you have a wonderful place to go back to.
Envious You look brown and fit and it all sounds wonderful. keep on enjoying it as its always sad when it comes to an end eh?? catch up soon Our love Sis
Gidday from us. Hey Pip, Love these last photos, all that glorious Turkish food, yum, so jealous. Apple tea and all while being protected by the "evil eye", how good is that ?!?!?!?! You're all looking so tanned and healthy. The sea looks soooooo inviting for swimming too. The weather hasn't been too bad here but no doubt you will feel a little shivvery when you come home. Have enjoyed all your 'reporting', so to speak, and the super photos. God how are you going to adapt to 'normal' food and not so much Watermelon!!!! Haha. Look forward to catching up when you are back and hearing about your travels. Happy sailing love from us both Lon and Nick.
Doing Plenty That sure looks steep, Pip and everyone looks so so fit. They are all so precious these wonderful children and grandchildren of ours aren't they? ENJOY!!!!
Lovely pictures Rod
Great to see the lovely pictures on your blog and the beautiful scenery etc. You picked a good time to be out of NZ. It wasn't that bad, looking back, but it seemed pretty scary at the time. I didn't get any breakages at home but remember watching stuff sliding off shelves and my gin & tonic (Sunday evening treat!) sloshing around in the glass. I was terrified some would get spilt!
Have a great time,
Nick

easy online booking with Yachtsngulets for 2013 I have been to Turkey many times, staying in tourist resorts. But for next summer I fancied something a little different, and decided to take a sailing boat around the coast. I wanted to see different places, like Gocek, Fethiye and Datca – places a little different than just mass tourist towns. I had heard of a new company Yachtsngulets, and decided to check out their website. I was a little in awe at the amount they had to offer, but the moment I posted a query they got straight back to me, and were very helpful in organising my holiday. Im going for a week, so have a lot to do in a short space of time. But im really looking forward to spending some relaxing time on deck and visiting some quiet authentic villages. YNG gave me to chance to choose my own gullet, own itinerary, and even asked about my dietary requirements. I felt really taken care of, and so far their customer services have been fantastic. I’ll be taking my youngest son with me, and apparently there will be lots for him to do too, like snorkelling, diving, swimming, as the boats carry water sport equipment. Personally im looking forward to the sunshine and some decent food!
Rod, you will love Croatia. Imagine standing on a balcony of a home or hotel room which is situated on a mountain and this would be the view.
Look straight and see the vast clear blue Sea, look to your left and witness the enchanting mountains, look to your right and glance upon the wavy roads with trees that lead you to beach parties, bar huts, sea food delight, and glimmering lights of laughter. The nights are bright and the days are full of joy.
This is Croatia.
I am a Travel Agent and I have been there many times, you will love it.
The Guys Farewell Simi looks like a neat place. Yes they are hard to keep up with especially the hypo little one!

PS I think a trip to the Norwegian barber might be needed. Ha Ha.
Love the food Great photos and good to see Bruce finds plenty of watermelons. I can relate to the food decisions having been with those guys before! Thanks for the varied photos and info have enjoyed following it.
In 2012 I retired after 43 years in retail and am now living the dream of following the sun. For some years I have travelled to Norway to visit our son and his family and now I am retired and have more time at my disposal I can include other adventures. In 2012 I had a fantastic experience sailing from Croatia, through the Greek Islands to Turkey. In the coming years I hope to continue seeing more of the world. ... full info
