Once I got over the shock of my wife offering to let me go to Egypt with Rick, the hard part began. I had to set up everything. Travel plans, flights, tour group, insurance and worst of all SHOTS. Lots of them, but I digress. First things first are to choose a reliable and first class tour operator. I chose TRAFALGAR. My family and I have been on 4 or more Trafalgar tours and they were all perfect. We toured Italy, Spain and Portugal with Trafalgar and they are truly first class, but do not charge as much as many of the other operators. Egypt. The Nile, Pyramids, Belly Dancers, Typhoid, Dysentery and overcrowded cities. What's not to like! It all began in October of 2009 at breakfast at our favorite little diner, Rockets Cafe. where Rick (a family friend), Cathy (my wife of 33 years) and I are having our usual Sunday after Church breakfast. The conversation moves from subject to subject when Rick tells us "I really want to go to Egypt before I die" Rick has been "dying" for the last 23 years! You see he has AIDS but is s survivor.
