Today we went back along the river to Wat Pho, quite close to the Grand Palace, but we were far too hot yesterday to visit both at once. Wat Pho is the home to the famous reclining Buddha, which is massive at 46m long and about 15m high. The Wat itself is quite similar in decoration to the grand palace, with intricate artwork on the internal walls and elaborate golden decoration on the outside. Unlike the emerald Buddha, the reclining Buddha is much bigger than we imagined, it is quite intimidating really. After wandering around Wat Pho for a while, we were getting hot again so headed back to our hotel.
