Mike & Paula Take a Bow Having just returned from a couple of weeks on the high seas, well cruising the Med, I thought I'd catch up on Fairbairns whereabouts and adventures. Well what can I say, but tremendous respect to you and Mike, true cooperators, giving something back to the community. I've had a few tears in my eyes (yes tough Carl), reading your stories and really does make you think why I am moaning and worrying about the little things, when there are small children dealing with what they have to deal with, and I don't mean having their head shaves, which is a weekly event for me!!!!
Keep up the good work and say hello to Mike and hope he doesn't burst out of any more trousers!!! :0)
Mike and his trousers Hi Carl - it is a real experience some not so good and some fantastic - yes it does make you think twice about complaining about things. Hope everything going well at the co-op. Just been to our local co-op a bit different from Balloon St, ha ha. As I sowed Mike's trousers up I think the crutch now looks like a feature with the black stitching, ha ha. Make note to oneself need to take sewing classes when I return.
Girl guide If I remember correctly you got chucked out of the guides for nicking an apple from the fruit and veg stall, you got me chucked out of brownies at the same time for being your sister. That's why you wasn't quite prepared!!
Funny Hey you two, I have just had a chuckle at the image of dragging mattresses around in the heat and watching the children use them as trampolines.
I bet the park will be ace tomorrow to see their faces ....... Keep up the good work.
Friggin cute Bloody hot girl it is friggin hot over here and with a little one sleeping on you on a hard floor all I can say is bring on AC PLEASE!!!!!!
Bag snatch Hi, I just saw your blog about the bag snatch. I am in Hanoi at the moment; people, even Vietnamese, keep saying about the bag snatching, and warning us to be careful. I thought over my shoulder would be safe, but now I've read this, I will pass it on! Thanks for the information. Good luck in your travels. Lesley From Yorksire ?
Bag Snatch Hi Lesley glad this has been of use. If you are carrying a bag make sure you are the furthest from the road. We are in Hanoi later on in the Month any tips would be appreciated.
Paula! Really - ear plugs. Listen to the pot calling the kettle black hahahahaha. Now I know that you and mike have matching ear plugs. The last one asleep gets to wear them hahaha.
That's awesome to see you have overcome your uncomfortableness (if that is a word) and are now comfortable. Its great to see you on the mat with the kids and to see Mike with the escapee. The rain has finally arrived here after 6 or 7 long weeks. xxxxxx
Way to go, girlie for giving it another go today. Both Mike and I know, along with probably a few more people that you are not the hard bastard you make out. Actually I think only you think that hahahaha. Back at work today after a long weekend and it was a day from hell. But as you know, that is medicine for you. xxxxx to you both.
Day 2 Its hard work and if I am honest is it rewarding for me - not sure but I suppose its not for me is it kid! What a change me not working and you are it feels weird - When you work your weekends are so precious and when you get an extended one it is brilliant isn't it apart from having to return. Hope you are still enjoying it
We love travelling since Mike retired we have travelled round the world and extensively since then. Our motto is memories can never be taken away and as such the world is our oyster. We love staying in different accommodation from youth hostels, airbnb’s, hotels etc and now have our own motor home so the world is really our oyster.... full info
