Washington & British Columbia - July, 2018

a trip by Anne & Lee
From: July 2nd 2018
Until: July 12th 2018

In early July of 2018, Anne and I traveled to the Northwest to do some hiking in the Mt. Baker and Winthrop, Washington, and Squamish, British Columbia areas. We flew into Seattle, WA, on July 4th and returned a week later on the 11th. We spent two nights in each of the three areas and were able to get in some pretty decent hikes around the Mt. Baker Ski area and on the PCT near Winthrop. Though the weather did not cooperate for our planned hike in the Garibaldi Provincial Park near Squamish, we were able to find a shorter hike in the nearby Alice Lake Provincial Park that wasn’t too bad. British Columbia has over 600 provincial parks with most of them offering a multitude of hiking opportunities. We may have to go back. I’ll add a page for each area we visited with a description of, and pictures from, the hikes we were able to do.
