50th Anniversary Trip - Death Valley and the California Coast

In the last week of December 2017, Anne and I traveled to California to do some holiday hiking in Death Valley NP, the California coast, and a spot or two in between. Our 50th wedding anniversary was December 30th so we chose this way to celebrate. We flew into Las Vegas, picked up our rental car and left the glitz as soon as possible. We ended up in San Francisco where we caught our flight home on New Year's Day. I plan to post mostly pictures on this blog, but I'll briefly recap where we went and what we did each day below.
