Costa Del Sol!!! Ah..h..h...h
Hi Lynne How we would love to be on the Costa Del Sol!! We have had SO much rain here and No summer. Did I see Frigliana in your photos? Have you been to the caves at Nerja? We had an all too short week at Nerja in 2009 with Glyn & Howard. We long to go back. Last year we stayed at Playa Flamenca,Torreveija. It was wonderful to be with our London friends there but it is very British and touristy and Nerja is definitely our favourite. Great you are going to Amsterdam. Sounds like it is your first time...which is amazing!! Happy Easter to you, your family and friends.

whisk me away
Many thanks for your lovely blog; it's hot and stuffy in this office that I come in to day in, day out, so a little light relief is very much appreciated. You describe in a way that I could almost be there (I wish). Bring on the Costa del Sol! Love Hils x

Beautiful artwork!
Hi Lynne, I loved that artwork on the ceilings and the stairs particularly! So graceful and stylish! Makes my bland stairwell look sad! Fancy having the imagination and skills to design something that looks like that! All's well here in Australia! I'm learning French now, and really enjoying it........lots of lovely students to work with.....and hoping to be able to open my mouth to say a few things when I get to France next year! Hugs, Maureen.

HaHei
Just been reading all your NZ blogs - really reminding me of our 10 years in NZ!! We used to go to HaHei a lot - my mum and dad came on holiday with us there for a week - Jack was 7. Fabulous place. Went on the same boat that you went on! There was a couple on the boat with us all, and when we got off, we chatted and found out they lived in Purley, told them my sister lives in Purley,on the Webb Estate, they live on the Webb Estate, told them Annette's hubby is Alan Clarke - they knew him well, from being on the Residents Association!! Unbelievable!. So when we went back to London the following year, they came for drinks at Annette's ! Small world, eh (as they say in NZ)!

lovely Oman
Oh what happy memories your photos evoke. I fell in love with Oman and it arrived in my life at a time when I wasn't exactly at my best. Seeing your photos brings it all back. Not sure that I agree with you about Omani drivers though- they must be pretty bad in Dubai!

When do you get to dust?
Hey Lyn. That comment was a joke of course. I'm home a lot more than you are and try not to worry too much about the dusting anyway. What a wonderful time you are having - I have never been to the middle east and it looks like a wonderful place to put on my ever-growing list. Take care and enjoy the sunshine. It has been pouring ins-e Queensland yesterday and overnight so a few people are getting a bit wary about flooding but I think we are all save this time around. When are you coming down under to see us again???
