I love modern ruins
Abandoned vehicles that is rusting away is a kind of modern ruin. We have an entire blog entry with abandoned cars wrecks and several other with other modern ruins. I love those places and I never get tired of visiting them or seing photos from them./Ake

Living in the North east Wheatbelt, I see these lakes many time, but now will now see them as you have done! Nice blog. By the way heading from Beacon to Koorda you would be heading south and from Wylie to Kalgoorlie - east. Look forward to your next pics!

High Petel, thanks for your comment. Marg and I were blown away with the transition from dusty dry to what looked like a winter wonderland. Loved the region. We probably should have stopped and taken a little more time composing the photos.

Thanks for comment and yes, we are travelling well. I guess we love oceans and nature more than things, but as you say. Hahndorf is rather special and has an interesting history. We are travelling well, and judging by your blogs, you have been eating well!!!!

Marg and Rob purchased a Horizon Wattle (Mercedes Sprinter) motorhome built by Ballina Campers and planned to circumnavigate Australia over the following couple of years, collecting it just after Rob retired in May 2011. The couple of years grew out to over 4 years during which time we travelled from Brisbane to Perth return accross the Nullarbor both ways in 2011; in 2012 we travelled various places on the East Coast of Australia.
