Wow I would never have enough courage to travel to such distant and I think a little bit dangerous country. I had many great travels with home exchange http://www.homeexchange24.com/ but this respect :) Good luck in future travels.
Vietnam is a very safe country if you are careful as you would be in any city. Most people are very kind and genuine but you must keep your wits about you as you get used to the currency!
Wow thank you, what a fascinating wedding - I thought you were going to let on that all the guests were hired 'extras' (like I believe happens in Japan). Hope the bride & groom are happy ever after!
Very impressed that you managed to see Bob Dylan.
Chris I'm sure you'll be upset that SCFC lost their FA Cup final yesterday. Maybe with MA back at the Vale they'll be in with a chance themselves next year?! (The Autoglass trophy, that is).
see you soon, Neil x

Chris's horse is a bit more like a racehorse than Lucy's, which looks more like a beach donkey!
Look forward to reading more, love from all in W'ton
Neil
Chris's Visit So good to see t'lad in the flesh instead of on a computer screen, only a flying visit but much welcome! Looking very well so obviously the oriental lifestyle is suiting you (both of you), your blogs back that up 100% everything you do sounds wonderful and different and lots of fun. England must have seemed very mundane after Bangkok but I'm sure Chris enjoyed coming back and catching up with family and friends, we realise that it is this part of your lives that you must miss most but we will all still be here when you both come back permanently. He said that he didn't mind driving to work in Leicester and back again afterwards but I'm sure he was telling porkies, he even said that the roads here weren't as busy as HCMC, mm? And as for being able to watch the World Cup! apart from maybe half a dozen matches it was best forgotten. Anyway you are both together again and starting afresh in HCMC and getting to know a different culture together, exciting but hard to beat Bangkok I bet. Take care and speak to you soon, love Lynda and Dad
very angry wiv Mr Cwiss and Mrs Moss! Oh thanks very much, Mr Cwiss and Mrs Moss, for your reassurances during the recent 'troubles' which I totally believed. I am sobbing reading the truth. I am however very glad its all over and that you are both safe. I will be happier when you are both together in Saigon. Telling off over.
Glad you had a fun birthday Mr Cwiss and I look forward to your next blog.
love you both very much.

What's in the bag? Great photos as always but one foxed me - what was in the bag titled 'Cool refreshment' - I first thought of some jellyfied fish stuff!! but then went on further and there it was 'Cola in a bag' - never seen that before and may even try it on the grandchildren!! Thanks for letting us know that you are safe even if very close to the 'war zone' - didn't see you on the news and for once I watched all the way through.
Family this end all well and in OZ waiting for Friday 21st which is B'day for twins - cannot wait its sooooo exciting.
Thanks again for keep us up to date - it really sounds exciting if a little scary at times. Take care and Love to both Auntie Janicexxx
I enjoyed your Bangkok post and photos, especially that incredible shot of Wat Arun! That has to be the greatest photo I've seen of that, my favorite, temple! My blog is looking for travel photos, reviews (like how the situation is there right now), etc, to share. If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email us at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. We're actually giving away a free night in Peru or Bolivia right now, if you know anyone traveling there. Continued fun on your travels!
Heather :)
coo chee coo tiggy wiggy man eater! The photos are fab I originally saw them when we were with aunty jan in pembrokeshire at easter ( i think i sent a comment then) and have just opened my emails at home (better late than never). what an exciting time you all had wonderful memories Judy and Roy. Thanks Mr Cwiss for all the reassurance on my daughters safety it was working a treat and then you go and tell us about the 'death curve' big explanation needed here! I'm really missing you and your pictures (no matter how horrific) and the blog are lovely and help me to feel a little bit closer to you.
Keep having fun and telling us all about it. Love you Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
It all looks and sounds FAB Its lovely to read your blog. It looks fantastic we're all very envious (in a good way) I've just given the girls one of my talks on the how its not good to be envious of etc etc......
We're just sorry you're having to work so hard in amonst all the loveliness and luxury.
Life here is much the same, a little brighter now the nights are getting lighter and the sun is shining a little.
The volcanic dust cloud has given me a little irritation - my collegue is stuck in Denmark so i'm covering her shifts.
Helena has just called me for the third time to come eat my dinner - she's been to school, is studying for A levels AND has to cook a meal for her family!!!! I love you both. Talk soon MUM xxxxxx
I need a holiday !! You were right we do need a holiday, but would not have missed any of it . It was a really fabulous time and Chris and Lucy gave us some very memorable times. Not to mention a few Michael Palin moments !! We are still getting over it and missing the sunshine as it is now snowing again here. Dont worry Bev they are ok and enjoying everything on offer - the tigers would not have been interested in Lucy while I was there as they would have seen a much bigger lunch with me.
Happy Days Looks as though you are really enjoying yourselves and seeing and doing as much as you can whilst you are in Bangkok, certainly beats your old routine in cold and wintery England. Given the temperatures that you describe it must be very tempting to be in the outdoors all the time. Looks a fascinating country, you will have lots of great memories and you haven't even got to Vietnam yet. I bet the time is fairly whizzing by, 2 months passed already, we think that it has gone really quickly and hope that you feel the same. Temple sounds interesting, not too sure about your choice of Molly-substitute though, don't fancy having one of those curled up in your lap! Still if they feed them with American tourists it is not surprising that they are so contented. Hope Vietnam visit is fruitful or at least gives you some ideas about what you want apartment-wise and where you want to be, be nice if you could get it sorted quickly. Love to you both, speak soon Lynda and Dad xxxxxx
Photos, what photos? Should we contact the driver of the taxi in which you left the camera to see the photos of Lucy and the lion you refer to? Sorry to hear about that.
Sounds like you're having a great time, not that I ever expected to see your tail between your legs (in fact, I wold hope not to). Just make sure you come home at some point, if only for a flying visit. I'm planning for Mayhem as its a special one for Dave and your absences will be noted. So that'll be a table for four, maitre d'!
Hope this blog can pass on all our love, the wonders of technology today!
Pip XXX
