VALUE You two are invaluable to the company you work for. Your wealth of information and your local contacts are incredible. I have marveled at your bravery during your travels and that you always know the best spots to go to tour. Thank you for taking me along on your journey, even if it is only via email.
THE DESERT AND THE DITCH Back jolting desert rides-but what fun.
Are the remenants of the battles still along the banks-old tanks, etc.?
You are geting to be short timers on this trip. Not long until Rome or Barcelona--and more adventures on the river.
Still jealous and enjoying your great blogs. Keep it up.
Dick
Oman Susan and Kevin--
You two are way too adventurous for us especially me as a woman. I just don't understand the polygamy way of life. Good for the man.
Going up to Tea this weekend for my nephew's high school graduation. My family doesn't get together very often so this is a good reason. We are also going to Okoboji. The docks, hoists and electricity are in so summer has started.

Sail away .... that's just what your blog does ... sails me away to a different place. Loved reading about Sri Lanka.
We miss you here in Sausalito. There isn't a dinner party or get together where you're not mentioned and missed.
Oman Remember Oman fondly. THe souk is fantastic, June go me a white dishdasha robe and the taqiyah hat which I wear someteimes at costume parties.
UP the Red Sea the canal I presume with Petra on the way.
Thaks for blogs--they are wonderful, as usual.
Burj Kaalifa WOW - what an amazing structure in a already impressive city. Hope I get to that part of the world sometime. All the best; thank you for sharing all of this. Hugs.
FABULOUS Weren't you scared of pirates? I just learned recently that our FBI would get involved if Americans were attacked by pirates.
Vivian is lovely and your photos were incredible. Especially loved the chandelier. Thanks for sharing. I still want your life.
Travel, History and Governance Your commentary is most welcome and consistently clearly presented. Dubai fascinated us in that we felt the desert sands would someday cover abandoned structures in a wasteland to come. Please keep your insights coming for us to ponder. Jim and Diana. (Yes! Beat Navy!)
Well done I don't know how you find the time to put this all together. Well done. Some superb photos and excellent commentary. Truly professional and educational. Kind regards Graham & Ann
India Kevin and Susan---Love the blog-what fun we had with you-The trip to the Taj was great but exhausting-This was definitly my farewell to India!!!!!
wonderful memories hi, you two, wonderful photos and memories, it just looked the same as 3 years ago.
Time passed...................... have a great time.
Love Ilse and Martina
Just saying, "Hi" Sri Lanka looks beautiful and civilized and warm. Kansas is emerging from the draught. We had over 3" of rain last week. It has been unseasonably cool this April but it looks like we are going to be in the 60's and finally the 70's this week. Maybe I will actually exchange my winter clothes for my summer clothes in my closet.
We went to Sioux City yesterday to attend a memorial service of a friend I played bridge with for 20+ years. She had breast cancer 7 years ago and it returned with a vengeance in November. Nasty disease.
We went to the lake, Sioux City and Sioux Falls a few weeks ago. The O'Gorman ladies were gatherng for monthly lunch. I hadn't joined them since last November. Anne Frankman, Nancy Doorn, Gayle Engle, Kathy Cadieux, and Connie Meyers were there. Nicky Sall is terminally ill with brain cancer and Mary Lou Anderson is undergoing treatment for breast cancer following a mastectomy. Mary Lou is doing well but has no energy right now.
Kansas City looks beautiful right now. The grass is lushly green, the forsythia is bright yellow, the redbuds are just becoming a halo of purple and the Bradford pears look like white clouds. There is nothing more spectacular than this area in the spring. The cool temps and rain have made all the plants and trees keep their blossoms longer than usual.
We are moving our store to a different space 6 doors away. The construction is wrapping up and we are starting to pack up extra inventory. Our projected move is on May 1. This will be a busy week.
Take care.
Sandy
Back in a few days Dear Susan and Kevin, I seem to be receiving your blog from Barry so thought I would say "Hello". Rejoining the Voyager in Egypt will you still be there? If so how about coming to my birthday dinner in Signatures on 7th May (about to be 49 again)
SRI LANKA Susan and Kevin
I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoy reading about all the wonderful places that you have travelled. I feel like I am there along with you when I see the photos and read the history lesson of where you are. Thank you for including me in your travels. I want your life. Good Health and smooth sailing. Lynda and Rich
Sri Lanka We were in Sri Lanka during the civil war. Such a beautiful place that was so war torn and dangerous at the time. I'm happy to read your post about a more peaceful time.
